weaving nerfs

I'm not sure why the devs want to make this game a race to the bottom...

players that suck have 3 issues:
1: gear (trait/enchant - not just sets)
2: rotation
3: weaving

lowering the weaving dps of good players isnt going to make the bad players better. Extending DOT times for bad players wont help if they're still using bad skills and not keeping them up.

the way the notes read this will be a horrible update. As it is, DPS is easy as heck anyway - you can crack 100k dps with blue crafted sets as is. this update is just stupid

    Bad or "casual" players will still only use skills every 10 seconds and only spam light attacks, so this will be giant nerf to those players in my opinion, while "veteran" players will simply be nerfed for no reason. The entire purpose of this update makes no sense if you think about for more than 1 minute

    No - not unless you're trying tog et into vet DLC and vet HM content

    I am in all gold gear, have been playing since beta, understand rotations and uptimes and animation cancelling. All of it. I sure can't hit 100k. No one I know can hit 100k. Luckily, we can still clear hard content. We just did Castle Thorn hard mode and Moongrave Fane hard mode. But those are more mechanic intensive than DPS intensive. Which seems to be a problem area for ESO. There is way too much content where the mechanics can be easily avoided by high DPS. If ZOS made more fights dependent on mechanics, instead of fights dependent on do-enough-DPS-to-skip-mechanics, the game might be in a better place.

    I've completed every veteran trial aside from the new high isle one (for lack of trying, for the record) with a group of people who pulled 60k average DPS. Every DPS check was meetable with that amount if we stayed alive and actually paid attention. A portion of the hardmodes, too.
    All of these groups asking for 100k+ parses are replacing mechanics with DPS. If you couldn't skip all the mechanics with the right DPS, you wouldn't see groups so obsessed with it.
