Upgraded Cards alongside the original cards

I was surprised when I learned that xg1dhy77xcx3.png
upgraded cards appear alongside the original cards. I feel like it causes some really weird issues that can be brutal in play. I don't feel like it was the card designers' intent that 4 mines existed in play at once. That can't be right, right? Some agents are really powerful alongside their original cards, like the Hireling alongside the Oathman.

Maybe this has already been discussed, but I didn't see anything at a glance in the forums.

Upgrades don't replace ALL copies of the cards. If you look at the ToT collection tab, you can find two instances of the pre-upgrade card (and the amounts each count for).

In general, there will always be at least 1 copy of upgraded and non-upgraded card, though the exact values vary with cards. But overall amount of cards in the deck (20) remains the same regardless of the amount of upgrades you have in play.

I do need to reiterate how absolutely unfun it is for someone to encounter 3+ mines in the tavern on a single turn. Matches can be totally swung by these cards existing alongside each other.

I love the mines, but I really don't think all four should be possible tavern drops in a single turn, and I'd love to see the ebony or kwama mines removed in favor of a different card upgrade.
