By story content I mean the main zone quest, the quests that count toward map completion, side quests, and the two public dungeon quests. I'm not including dailies or dungeons.
I completed the whole zone -- main quests, side quests, delves, public dungeons, world bosses, vents, unlocked both companions, did several daily quests, got Oakensoul, and did most of the achievements except Tales of Tribute and the trial -- in about 10-12 hours. Done with the zone in just two sittings because I'm not interested in the card game...
We all knew the card game was the main feature. But damn! More than 1/3 of the achievements are for ToT...
High Isle Achievements:
- General (5)
- Tales of Tribute (53)
- Companions (7)
- Exploration (25)
- Quests (15)
- Volcanic Vents (9)
- Dreadsail Reef (16)
Total: 130
Have no objective to finish. I just take it easy. I prefer wandering freely in explorable, doing a bit here and there if I feel for it while I keep playing in other areas too. Am not the one hunting achievements.
I'm out of my mind, feel free to leave a message... PC/NA
About a week or two for the main story. Still working on the daily quests and the companions.
Haven't really gotten into the card came stuff beyond the intro tuff, It's alright, but not really all that interested in it so it's not a priority for me.
Dude, I just finished Summerset, there's still long way for me to go. I'm actually glad that the chapters aren't 40h long, this game's massive.

Haven't started it yet. But considering how I play (slowly, with a lot of exploring, etc.) it will probably take me 40 hours + to get through both islands.
I listened to all dialogue and did every quest did not take much longer than 10 hours. Maybe it would take longer if the enemy NPCs fought back.
So much that I'm still wondering if I have finished it... I seemed to go from zero to speeches and canapes at a party in my honour in minutes. And half the time was taken in traipsing between houses "Let's meet back at my place to discuss this"...
Would have been OK, but she did actually want to discuss events
And I still haven't found the hyper violent, oh-so-scary, region beyond the pale on Amenos.
The way I play, it takes me about a year to complete a zone. lol
Because I jump back-and-forth a lot between zones and cherry-pick quests at random just wandering around.
The only zones' main story lines I completed after years of playing ESO are the Daggerfall Covenant zones, Summerset, Clockwork City, Wrothgar, and Murkmire. About 30 zones to go!
