Warden Shalks Don't Hit Taleria

The warden shalk skill does not hit the final boss (Tideborn Taleria) of Dreadsail Reef.
Despite her large hitbox and the large area of the skill, shalks can't hit her.
I'm a bit upset about this as my main is a warden, and the subterranean assault skill is the foundation of my dps rotation.
Just wanted to let fellow wardens (and maybe devs?) know in case they notice their damage dipping during the fight.

warich✭✭✭Yes. Turns out you have to be standing inside the water underneath Taleria in order for shalks to hit her. Here's a damage breakdown from a vDSR run I was in that shows what abilities I had damaging the boss.

So this issue is still not addressed. we just did a run and this is my friend's warden on last boss. he casted 20 shalks and only 5 hit the main boss!!!!
Sorry but you can't ask a warden to swap their main dmg skill with something else.
This trial has been out long enough for you to resolve this matter.
Or tell us if the team is working on this at all.

Yes, and Subterranean hits twice, so that is 5 hits out of 40, or 12.5%. Technically it is possible to hit, but you must stand dangerously close to the center pool (dipping toes). It is not a good idea to be half a step away from death on a high-movement boss encounter. If you want to cleave the Behemoth, or have to take a step back to avoid red circles or for deluge, Shalks simply cannot hit Taleria. It is absurd given how large the hitbox is, where light attacks and taunts can hit from the entire island. Please fix this, Warden is terrible in vDSR due to this bug.Edited by WrathOfInnos on August 5, 2022 4:16PM3 -
I didn't think it was necessary to go into details of how shalks work -hitting twice in that case-
and we've known when we played with other wardens that staying close to the central pool helps with it but it's dangerous and deadly to try to position yourself too close to the pool while there are other mechs to going on.
this should not be the play at all. It's a bug and needs to be addressed.
I'm just surprised why this had been not solved.
at least an update would be great if they're working on it for the next patch or something.1 -
