What’s your Oakensoul Lead Experience?
I posted a similar post about Kilt when Blackwood dropped which took me about 1.5 hours, half of which was farming shadowfen water hyacinth. I got oakensoul on the first day of console release, and boy was it much more difficult.
Here is my experience in order of difficulty:
1. Malabal Tor NPCs: got the lead after about 15 minutes of killing NPCs
2. Glenumbra blacksmith nodes: got the lead after about 25 minutes of farming nodes. Took me about 11-12 nodes to get it. (Pro tip, farm all nodes you seen they sometimes respawn as blacksmith nodes)
3. High isle vents: got it after 3 vents. Luckily the same vent spawned 3 times in a row. Took about 15 minutes.
4. Stormhaven Crab WB: my god this was a disaster. The WB dies within 3-4 seconds and you must be one of the top DPS to loot. I swapped to MagPlar and just Jesus Beamed as soon as the boss spawned. I got the lead after looting the 3rd time. Took about 45 minutes in total.
5. Murkmire safeboxes: the worst experience I had farming a lead in ESO, personally thought it was worse than pale order bad man hollow. Took about 4 hours. People are saying that you can get the lead by opening safeboxes that have already been picked. I think this is unlikely. I opened about 20 picked safeboxes. My best strategy was just staying at one location. People get discouraged and leave if the box doesn’t spawn in 5-10 min. I waited up to 30 minutes on some. I got the lead after picking my 6th box.
All in all a dreadful experience that took me over 5.5 hours.
How did you guys do?
