How do you rate elder scrolls online Vet Dlc Endgame content difficulty?

In your experience how does vet dlc endgame content feel to you? From Solo arenas, to trials, to dungeons on the hardest difficulty, what do you feel about it?

How would you fix the difficulty issue if a fix could be possible for you?

A link to the reddit post if you want to know their opinion. https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/vgjilc/how_do_you_rate_elder_scrolls_online_vet_dlc/

If you want my opinion, I tried several times (trifectas, did a few) and i just hate endgame to the point i ignore it, it's toxic for me and i'm tired of it. Doesn't help that champion points got nerfed so i can't even join trials because i lack those juicy 100k everyone as asked for years now.

I think it’s too variable for me to generalize. Vet dlc trials and dlc dungeons are easy for me now, but they weren’t always. vDSA and vCauldron HM may be easy, vDoM HM and vSWR HM are hard for me. vScalecaller HM is considered very hard by some, laughably easy by others. For me? Hard the first time, easy the rest. That’s without considering roles… some content is very hard on tanks while many don’t cause healers much issue. I personally don’t see anything to fix really, but I do wish that more people understood that some things are hard for some people, easy for others. It would solve some of the toxicity.

I'll never be able to do it.
NOT taking my insanely low DPS into account, I still have a very hard time with DLC vet endgame content

Mechanics in both DLC trials and DLC dungeons is a mess for me to follow and get accustomed to (even if I have read up on guides beforehand) I've got cognitive issues, so it does not take a lot for me to get confused about where to stand and what to do, plus the impairment that I've got makes it impossible for me to even remember the mechanics after having read them

Then there's also the fact that I cannot differentiate very well what I see on the screen. If there are 12 players, a boss, some adds and a whole lot of AOE's everywhere, I'm already lost in the puddle.

So I don't (or very very very very rarely) do DLC vet content

But that's just me and my broken brain, other people might find it too easy, and require veteran vet content

    Hard
Vet and Hard Mode is meant to be hard. Rotation, practice and a good mentor goes a long way if you want to run in those modes. Normal trials are easy and you don't have to have BIS gear to complete those activities.

It's very different experience counting the patch you're in, a group you're with and vary throughout contents like comparing vhof "hm" to vcr+3 or the cauldron to stone garden, vma to vvh etc. Some can be really challenging with experienced group while others are perfectly pugable even for trifectas.

I'd say medium as trifectas and hard modes are things not meant to be enjoyed by everyone and ain't meant to - but they're fun and good imo. Generally dlc means you need some preparation to step in so looking at pug clears it's fine as mostly successful in my experience, when people are learning. My personal experience is also mixed as brp trifecta can't be compared to maelstrom one etc, it's just really different things to begin with, from very hard to pretty easy ones depending also on personal experience.

In regards of Vet DLC dungeons. They're kinda hard when you're learning mechanics, or learning the hard modes, but get very simple once you and your group get the first 2-3 clears. Me, my fiancé and a few friends managed to get most trifecta to get skins and personalities, which I am so very happy about. We are missing Falkreath Hold but I truly don't like the dungeons, so I will never buy the DLC.

Vet DLC Raids are really hard. I never bothered with any besides vSunspire. We were 90% first timers, or people with little knowledge, with the tanks being the raid leaders. They explained mechanics, we took hours, but we ultimately cleared it.
Had a lot of fun, regardless of how badly we wiped.

Solo arenas were probably the easiest. Especially since the ring of the pale order got introduced. Still challenging while learning, but you really get to see how much more experienced you get with each clear speeding up.

vBlackrose and vDSA are on two entirely different difficulties it feels. DSA is rather easy, Blackrose has a couple of really nasty levels that took multiple tries. Overall, I'd say medium difficulty for vDSA and hard for vBlackrose.

i think its also too difficult to generalize

not all vet DLC HM are that hard and some are very hard, it also greatly depends on the group you are running with as to if something feels difficult or not

i do vet trials with a great group even though ive probably got mid tier dps although during fights i still can pull 10-15% of the group dps in a vet trial during the boss fights

    Difficult question to Answer:

VMA or VMOL HM at launch? Insanely Hard (nothing has been as hard at time of launch since).
VMA or VMOL HM now? Easy.
VVH at launch: Easy to Medium.
Most trials these days on HM: Hard for 3 to 6 months, but hugely dependent on group. Afterwards, Medium.
Most DLC Dungeons on HM at launch: Medium to Hard, but never needed more than one good attempt to get them done.
DLC dungeons more than 6 months old: Easy to Medium.
Pulling 100k on a trial dummy a year ago: Medium to Hard
Pulling 100k on a trial dummy now: Easy

    Hard
Wouldn't say it is insanely hard, most of the difficulty in the dlc endgame is artificial crap rather than actual difficulty. Played Monster Hunter World before ESO and its endgame monsters (Safi'jiva, Alatreon, and Fatalis) are extremely difficulty due to their mechanics and moveset. In ESO the artificial difficulty is just enemies hitting ridiculously hard and being ungodly tanky (looking at you vet hard lady thorn), and stupid one shot mechanics (depths of malatar walls, fang lair walls, scale caller peak statues, and maelstrom arena mushrooms just to name a few.)

Those aspects make the game artificially hard rather than actually hard. Vet Vateshran is a great example of something hard but not 100% artificially hard. ZOS can make their game difficult, but it's easier to just increase damage numbers incredibly high.

Dungeons and solo arenas are pretty easy on pc tbh. We have add ons which tell you when to block, dodge, tell the spawn points on certain enemies, give a warning against special mechanics etc.

Can't comment on the trials because I haven't done them but I guess the hardest part is to find enough good people to play with who are interested in doing that content. The very few people who really care about high end raiding usually prefer WoW over ESO to begin with.

I think arguing about which game is more hardcore is silly because nobody cares in the end. People care about a game being fun. Overall ESO is an easy game and so are MMOs in general.
I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

I only really started doing vet DLC dungeons last year after I found a regular dungeon group by complete coincidence, and I found them to be wayyyyy less hard than I always feared them to be, judging by what I read on various forums.
That attitude kept me from even trying them for years. Like, it was so bad that I didn't even have the 25 undaunted pledge achievement, while having played ESO since it came out. :D

Going by what I often read, I always assumed only the 24/7 super gamers with rigid minmaxed meta setups and perfect rotations could ever have a hope in doing them. Thankfully to my surprise I found out I was very very very wrong.

I mean there's plenty of nasty parts in a bunch of them and some might take a little practice, it's veteran after all, but it's definitely not an unsurmountable wall for regular players like me. Note that my experience is only as tank and melee dps, I have never been a healer or ranged.

I also haven't done all the hardmodes yet, but I am pretty convinced I will be able to get those down as well, once I feel like doing some tries for them.

So while like everything it is probably hard for some and easy for others, I'd recommend at least giving it a try some time! Definitely don't go by the doom and gloom stories you read, and try them for yourself. You might be positively surprised, like I was!

    Really easy
For dlc dungeons younger than 2 to 3 years the veteran mode itself has become increasingly easy I feel like. HM is where the difficulty spikes for them, but it still just requires a modicum of teamwork and self awareness, I'd say HM for those dungeons is solidly, hard, but not very hard or anything.

For me alot of the diffaculty of running these dungeons is my dps, idk why but dps tend to tunnelvision like hell, dont kill adds as they spawn or think their dps is vehks gift to nirn and that they can skip any mechanic with numbers and never learn to proper fight.

This is why i think older and base dungeons need a Passover, they incentivize the numbers and not the mechanics and leaves new players with 0 idea what endgame mechanics are or how to look out for them on their first run... Also leaves alot of then scared of veteran and dlc dungeons for the same reason.
