excavation dirt not spawning sometimes?

i am level 8 in excavation, have 2 yellow sets, but i swear sometimes the dirt does not spawn. i can search areas for 30 minutes, and no dirt.

Quethrosar✭✭✭✭so i made level 8 and 2 full yellow sets without knowing about the tool, lol. i used it just now and it points to a cliff that is impossible to get up on.0

LarsS✭✭✭✭✭I have possibly the same problem, in western Amenos north of the eldertide WB ans close to the opening of the tunnel leading to a set crafting station. marker is pointing to the cliff. I hear the sound and it seems as if the dig is inside the cliff. There is no way to get on top of the cliff I have tried.GM for The Daggerfall Authority EU PC0 -
