✭✭✭✭✭its always worked for me, positioning is kind of weird though
the target dummy has to be in a "valid" location, and in an area on fairly flat ground
it also helps facing the dummy to a wall since you have to use the feed from behindplays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
