so for about 13 hours a day for about 3/4 days ive been sitting in murkmire trying for this lead for the oaken ring , that in its self ISNT a problem i get it the grind is real but the PING in Australia sucks the big one,
im in the room and it appears as im spamming the E buttons and some dude comes in and all of a sudden he gets it out the blue
id love to say this is a one off but it isnt , hour after hour after hour im spamming the E and so far ive opened 1 box , of which it wasn't there
please fix the ping for AU , its just nuts
i hope you understand the sheer frustration of no one there and spamming e and then suddenly someone else getting the box

Gundug✭✭✭✭✭You are not wrong in being frustrated by what is ultimately a very poorly chosen lead source, but spending apparently almost 40 hours of your life over three days in front of a computer screen waiting to click on something in a game is not healthy. First, do you expect that once you get the mythic, your resulting increased fun will overcome the misery you had to endure to get it? Second, judging by past actions by ZOS, there is a good chance that the lead will be adjusted to be less onerous to get at some point in the future, although possibly long after most people who care about it have suffered through acquiring it. Third, there is always the chance that ZOS will nerf the item if it seems to be over-performing, after sales of the chapter slow down. Fourth, the next chapter will likely have a new mythic that overshadows this one, with another awful lead source, and the entire miserable process of farming it can begin again.9

HeavyESO✭✭✭Bind interact to mouse wheel up and mouse wheel down, and just move your mouse wheel while watching youtube or something until you hear the lockpick sound. I did this and it only took me about 1 hour to get it (would've been faster if the the respawn time wasn't so bad). Out of 7 boxes that spawned, I was the first to loot them all2 -
Daewind✭✭What I don't understand is why you're still playing for that item with all that frustration. It seems like an endless and mindless chore for some silly game trinket (I include real life hobbies and other fun things in the comparison). If I get very frustrated in this game due to some reason I just quit for some time. After a few months it will be easier to get your item when all the lemmings have done their run for it

Problem with this is , as some one said, there is a good chance they nerf it so bad no one will want it. So everyone wants to try it before that happens. FOMO I guess you can say.
I know personally I would like to try it before it gets ANY adjustments. But I haven't got the last kilt lead and it got a big adjustment, it will never be the same item. ( so the fear is real )
But to the OP , even without high ping I can't be aggressive and butt my way in and take over a box. I wouldn't do that when shopping in the mall or what ever so I act the same in game.

✭This is just Shadowfen water nodes all over again. I happened to get that lead for the kilt completely by accident as I picked a water hyacinth after completing a dolmen, so I imagine I'll similarly eventually get the Murkmire safebox lead for...whatever everyone is looking for. Some ridiculously OP mythic that will likely be nerfed in the next patch I guess? Good luck to you, OP.PC NA, CP2500+. Character creation is the true endgame.2 -

This is exactly how I got it as well. Mouse wheel basically guarantees you will get the box.0 -

I'm sorry, but the devs at ZOS have no control over the speed of light, which is the deciding factor in your latency.
