Is there a way to change your digspot?

I can't dig where it says I'm supposed to dig. I'm literally on the edge of the map and the arrow points to a giant rock. Can I change the digspot without losing the motif?

It might be above or below where it's pointing.

I think in the Antiquities journal there's a button to re-scry, but I forget what it's called. If you can't find that, try doing another dig in the same zone, and maybe it'll ask if you want to abandon the other.

I just posted a thread in the bug report forum about the same problem. Sent me to a beach and lead me into the cliff - there is no way to get on top of the cliff and I can "hear" the glowy hum effect of the dig when i stand next to the cliff wall. So it seems to have been placed in the cliff and relogging didn't fix it.

You can abandon the dig and just rescry it. You don't lose the lead. It just randomizes another dig spot.

*nvm. I got Treasure Maps confused with Antiquity Digsites. Not enough coffee yet.

How do you abandon a dig? That's the question of the OP.

I think you abandon it on the antiquities tab, where it list the lead you're working, but I can't recall exactly. I had to do this just this past weekend in Greenshade where the Eye was pointing to a rock wall for the dig site. I was looking at the UI to try and figure out how, as I had given up and did not want it to remain on the map/list, and I think selecting the lead you're working is where the abandon option is located.

I had a similar issue with a dig site in Greenshade, but I finally spotted a tiny portion of the glowing dirt pile in a little vertical crack in the rock wall and was able to select it to excavate the antiquity. Before I spotted the tiny bit of the dig site, I thought that it must be on top of the ridge and spent a lot of time trying to get up to where I thought it must be, but in the end it was at ground level, just very difficult to see because most of the glowing dirt pile was apparently inside the rock wall.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

You go into the antiquities menu, and it should have it as your main active lead. Just click on it and it'll let you abandon it. Then, you just scry it like normal.
