Ember level not matching highest level companion level
I just unlocked Ember, but her level is set as level 1, despite having Bastian at level 6, her gear is not matching his gear, and neither is her weapon. Is this a bug or intentional? Because I thought all companions were supposed to match the level/gear of your highest level companion?

But Mirri always started as Bastian's level for me, unless Zenimax changed that recently.0 -
Sidonius✭✭✭You'll need to level all companions individually from level 1 to 20. I found it's best to grind xp with your highest character. A companion will level quicker with a CP character than a character less than level 50.
Their gear also colour helps.1 -

I think you are mistaken, because that has never been the case, sadly.
Each companion levels separately.
However, the level of each companion is account wide, so if Mirri is level 20 on your account, she will be level 20 for each of your characters.
Rapport is per character though, so your level 20 Mirri can have 5000 rapport with 1 of your characters, and 700 rapport with another.
