Did they change some lighting effects recently? DSA in particular.

I did DSA a few weeks ago and found it fine. I just tried it again today and could absolutely not get past the Oblivion stage (stage 7), when the Shadow Knight would drop an enormous blinding light on me and cause me to almost be blinded for several seconds. It was actually painful. I don't remember this being an issue before. Anyone else experienced this? Did something change?

That lighting effect has always existed. If you were in a high DPS group before, you may have bypassed it.

I soloed it both times on the same build though. I'm not saying it's new, but I'm wondering if they've made certain light sources brighter, as I don't remember it being so blinding.

No. Are lighting effects brighter for vampires? That would be interesting.

If they really did not change the brightness of the spell, then I guess it's possible I focused on the Shadow Knight first previously, though I can't imagine I would have burned him down that quickly (my DPS is pretty average).

Sounds like the Templar brightness issue that started last year. That boss uses Templar skills, and something is way off with the lighting.

That's interesting, thanks for the link. Yes, it was insanely bright, my screen was nothing but an enormous flash of white with a few pink and blue blobs here and there.
