Yes, that would be good, playing with a ping constantly around 400 is inconvenient sometimes.Distance from a server makes a large difference in game performance, i.e., the closer you physically are to a server, the lower your ping rate generally is, making it better. This is why there tends to be separate servers for the NA and EU continents and why AU tends to ask for a server in their county.

There are plenty of things that would be nice to have, but sometimes it's just not realistically possible to do so unfortunately. I'd love it if they just removed all load screens all the time. That would be a major quality of life improvement, but the limitations of the game demand that we have some load screens. There isn't much that can be done about that.

I think the servers are split into two because having all players on one would create too high a load on the server. Synchronising player's settings and game states between the 2 servers might also be difficult, because it could also create a higher load on the servers.
So, no bad comment from me, but I just don't think merging the servers would be practical. Hopefully, you'll get some decent feedback on *your* thread, though. I raised an "idea" thread last week and just got a lot of negativity, and regretted creating the thread

This would be correct.
Zenimax has had to add capacity multiple times to EU and at least once to NA to handle capacity. Each server is already significantly larger than a WoW of FF14 server.
Also, the EU players would be the ones to suffer as a single server would likely be located in NA for obvious reasons. They would be the ones suffering from higher latency. Just ask our AUS friends about their experience playing on servers far, far away from home.
I could care less either way and am just noting the drawbacks.

I mean they've already stated that they were running on old Hardware, so maybe if they just you know Upgraded their *** there would be less of an issue
Not to seem contrary, but English is by far and away the most dominant language on the EU server.NeuroticPixels wrote: »I hate to be that person but… too many languages other than English are spoken on the EU server. I’m a poor, busy peasant that only speaks and understands English. So I tend to stay on the NA side unless it’s under maintenance and I’m bored enough to withstand the bad latency and not understanding everything said on EU zone chats.

the thing is thou people do do this.. streamers and more.. and it is a little laggy lol..
but the thing is why not make it a one big server..
one server for all.. na and eu combine ..
people do have friends and streamers need this too,--meow
For me, both the EU and NA servers (I play on PC platform) are half the world away, so at least 15,000km. My ping averages about 400ms, although I can cut it down to about 320 with a carefully-chosen VPN connection. I envy those in the northern hemisphere, many of you don't realise how lucky you are by comparison.ForzaRammer wrote: »No thx, i don’t want to connect to a server 10000km away, it’s already stupid enough NA server is in texas, should be in kansas or missouri
