A “solo” arena with our companions?

It would be nice to have an arena where our companions have a unique role in the arena, depending on who we pick to help us with the arena.
The arena would also drop bound companion gear like how the other arenas drop bound gear for us. This bound gear would give overland perks or combat perks when an companion is out and adventuring with us.

✭While 4 man arenas can be done with a friend or a companion, that’s not the point imo. I think that implementing a 2 man arena where you can complete it either with 1 friend or a companion would be great.
It could bring more vitality to the companion system for those who don’t care for it by offering purple companion gear, special titles and achievements, etc if you use just a companion instead of your friend with BiS gear. I also think it’d benefit people who don’t feel like going zone to zone trying to find 3 other people or who aren’t necessarily strong enough to solo it yet.
Even if some people wouldn’t do it it doesn’t hurt the game. I don’t see it being a negative for anyone and actually think it’s a great idea! CheersESO YouTube Content Creator & Templar Tank/Healer Main0 -

im not going to lie i dont hardly ever use those adds and end up killing them with aoes anyway lol, usually just bash the behemoth to interrupt it lolplays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

✭I really, really want this.
I don't think it will happen, but I've imagined my best version, and these are the features.
An instanced area leading to the arena, with banker, outfit station and access to our house storage, so we can tinker with companion builds in there.
A companion target dummy.
Some interesting NPC's who can be recruited as temporary companions for people who can't/don't want to use there own. These are near maxxed out, but their skills, gear and appearance cannot be changed, and they are only with you in the arena.
In the arena you can use 3 companions, so you lead a team of 4.
Not a multi-stage arena, each encounter is like a round or stage, then ends. Although some modes have longer campaigns like the Arena questlines in previous games.
Several quest giver NPC's to initiate a range of arena modes. Pvp "dueling" against another player and their team, a PvE 4v4v4 battleground mode, a 4vbig-boss mode, a normal mode, and ranked veteran mode.
My weirdest idea is a companion only mode, where 4 companions fight other NPC teams, and your character doesn't fight but can give directions and activate buffs at certain times - so you are the team's manager, trainer and cornerman.

Boasting mode on: I have beaten nDSA solo in 2019.

As a mainly solo player, who isn't very good, I'm trying to do everything I can by myself. And that means without companions, because quite frankly that would be cheating...
By all means have an EZ Mode Arena, but make it so you don't have to have a companion... so I can try to solo it;)0 -

Normal DSA is easier than VMA solo. It takes longer, but its easier. nDSA is more a war of attrition than anything. VMA, although not nearly as tough as it used to be, requires you to respect more mechanics. Things just hit harder, and if ignored, will kill you. You can pretty much Sap or Jab spam your way through nDSA assuming your sustain is sufficient.
I really wouldnt be opposed to letting companions tag along in vVH or vMA. You would either need separate leaderboards or just to disable them. Truthfully, a companion would slow down a really good VMA speed run. I would probably disable titles like Spirit Slayer and Flawless Conqueror, but otherwise, have at it.0
