I only own Bastion, but I'm curious of people's opinions about the other two. My biggest problem with Bastion is the loading screens, I just hate them. Going from A to B seems to be a problem for both Bastion & Erstwhile. Furniture limit, yeah, well, we know that one and it's an issue for most notables.

I really love Erstwhile Sanctuary, it is the perfect house for my characters who are Dark Brotherhood members and you can perform your secret rituals there >:) But I also would like to remind you Exorcised Coven Cottage. I know it's not as big as the houses you mentioned but you can use it to your advantage, it has 400 slots with ESO+ and it can be very spooky at nights, with right choice of furnishings :)

Oh I DO love the Coven Cottage, I just kinda wish it didn't have that hut and/or was a little more spacious so that we can build something nice. The atmosphere there is amazing.

When I purchased Bastion I thought it would render Erstwhile redundant, but now that I see Erstwhile available -- it calls to me. lol Bastion looks superior in a few ways (Blackreach..) but there's something special about Erstwhile. I really, REALLY hope they can add writ boards to Kvatch later on, it makes it easier for me to 'settle down' when I can do a few things in the towns nearby. If Earstvile was a little cheaper I would buy it in a heartbeat. I have too many damn notable houses at this point, it's getting ridiculous.

For Bastion I blocked off the main house and built a lava submarine base in the lava beneath the house.

For Wraithhome, I decided to scrap the Daedric theme and go with an enchanted forest library.

I'm surprised they let you even build there! Amazing overall, I love your homes. If you had to pick based on atmosphere & theme (as they are given to you, not necessarily its potential to build) which one would it be? Can't decide for my vampire character, even though the default choice should be Bastion.

For Vampire, Bastion. But for a broader 'Dark' vibe applicable to Nightblades, Necro's, Assassin's or Thieves then Erstwhile.

Erstwhile is good for focusing on Bioluminescence, Geodes, Dwarven and cave fantasy in general.

Bastion's better for Gothic, including blood, gold, debauchery, hedonism, corruption. Clockwork Tree's work well with the lighting in Bastion.

    Just random thoughts.

The short version is the person who lives in the Erstwhile Sanctuary would probably answer to the one who lives in Bastion Sanguinarsis, Erstwhile is nice but it does not seem like the residence of a Vampire Lord, maybe a minor Vampire or a Necromancer of somekind.

Wraithhome is more for Necromancers and if I am correct the place does seem to have some resemblance to coldharbour, most Vampires would want to stay the hell away from there.

A nice way to look at it. Erstwhile is maybe for the vampire that just wants to be left alone, Bastion is definitely for the ambitious one that wants to rule. Anyway, my vampire 'dream home' wouldn't be either of those, it would be a gothic-looking mansion in Rivenspire, but alas.

And I agree about Wraithhome, but you could say it's also for one that heavily & openly defies Molag Bal, or a crazy one.

To me it comes down to the furnishing limit and because of that I gotta go Erstwhile. The ceilings are low enough it doesn't look nearly as empty as the other two do most of the time. Alsodue to the dark color scheme, the Volcanic plugs basically match the wall and ceiling colors so it's pretty easy to adjust the space to what you need.

Bastion and Wraithholme are just so big they often look a bit too empty for my taste.

Also...Kvatch being right outside is fairly handy

I prefer none of them for "spooky" homes. They are too...themey in a lack for words.

Wraithhome, is too Molag Bal fanatic-y. Like why do they always need Molly's face on things?

Bastion Sanguinaris screams my least liked type of Elder Scrolls vampire. The ones that make being a vampire their only thing.

Erstwhile Sanctuary. The only one of them which I consider useful. Can fit in a lot varied themes into it and even some custom builds. Also plenty of water.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!
