RisenEclipse✭✭✭✭✭I thought their side benefit becomes permanent after you max them out and you get their special little item? Like Bastian has something to do with potions? I can't remember the specifics but I THINK you get their bonus all the time regardless if they're out or not once they're maxed. But I really can't remember. I hardly use mine.1 -

I saw that in another thread I read recently: it's the maxing of the companion to 20 that enables the permanent (i.e. not just when summoned) bonus, not the maxing of rapport.RisenEclipse wrote: »I thought their side benefit becomes permanent after you max them out and you get their special little item? That is part of the achievement, along with equipping them with one piece of purple gear, changing their mount and giving them an outfit you still need to get their rapport high enough to do both their quests before you get the item in collections that gives you their passive bonus even when they are not summoned.
As for maxing out the rapport bar completely, don't think it does anything.1
