Antiquity-lead still bugged: Bull's Head Gallery Rail

The antiquity lead for "Bull's Head Gallery Rail" from the Deadlands is still bugged if you want to acquire it a second time.

I've tried it now for half a year and I'm finally sick of those daily quests. This lead wont drop a second time, so the codex entries for the Belharza-Mythic are only collectable up to 9/15 entries. Only a second and third drop of this lead could unlock the remaining 6 codex entries.

The lead does drop a second and third time, but the grind is intense. I think I went through hundreds of boxes to get my codex filled for that item.

That being said, the drop rate is still unreasonable and could be adjusted up a bit to make it realistically farmable for players that want to fill out a codex.

They could also reduce the codex entries for future mythic items to 1 since we can reconstruct them now anyway.

Do you remember the circumstances during which you got the drop? Like was there the lead for the other mythic active/inactive as you got the Belharza one?
Cause I even thought that the Markyn lead maybe blocks the Belharza lead from dropping while active.
Also, may I ask you for a screenshot pls?

My first and only gallery rail dropped quite easy after 2-3 days after release and then none at all for 6 months now, so I'm quite sceptic about it. This low droprate doesnt fit to all the other mythics in the game. I've collected all other codex entries in the game and not a single lead was as rare as this gallery rail

That's where I'm at right now for the Deadlands mythics. Just missing the Multifaceted Eye for the codex for those three.

I have a theory that the first drop for some leads has a much higher drop chance than subsequent leads, but that's nearly impossible to prove. I was in Banished Cells 1 over 100 times to finish the codex for that one from the random mobs. I spent 8 hours farming clanfears to get just the second lead for that drop. It only took a few more hours after that to get the 3rd codex entry for the clanfear lead when I was able to go back for it.

I'm not sure which leads were active or inactive at the time I got my drops other than obviously I was able to get the drop as it wasn't already active and the previous item was completed.

this is my general experience too
    1. first drop of lead is usually a very high chance
    2. second drop has a very low chance
    3. 3rd or more lead drops seem to have a chance slightly lower than the first lead drop, but still easier to get than the 2nd lead drop

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

I have been trying to do some testing to help prove this using alt accounts that haven't picked up the leads yet, but it's still difficult to say for sure. It would be fantastic if ZOS could hop in and mention if this is the case and if it's intended. My assumption is that all copies should have the same drop chance, but that's only an assumption. It's possible that they do have a lower drop chance on the 2nd lead, but it may or may not be intended. I'd love to bug report it but I don't have enough hard evidence yet, just anecdotal experience.

Hey @Ch3mical_92. We just checked in with the Dev team and this is working as intended. No bugs present for antiquity lead, "Bull's Head Gallery Rail".

definitely, it is not something ive seen like across the board, only with certain items

there were some items i was able to easily get 3+ of (void crystal anomaly comes to mind, this one is given out like candy)

There are no bugs but are you able to comment on whether or not the drop rate is lower on the 2nd or 3rd copy of the lead?

I did a bit of testing for some data. I farmed out the Clannfear Leather Strapping on multiple accounts across multiple servers to see how the drop rate looked. Here are the results. For all these tests, the accounts had not found the lead at all yet. It would be their first drop for it.

First Test: PC/NA (alt account), 12 Clannfears, less than 5 minutes farming
Second Test: PC/NA (alt account 2), 10 Clannfears, less than 5 minutes farming
Third Test: PC/NA (alt account 3), 30 Clannfears, approximately 15 minutes farming
Fourth Test: PC/EU, 9 Clannfears, less than 5 minutes farming
Fifth Test: current PTS, 8 Clannfears, less than 5 minutes farming
Sixth Test: current PTS (alt account), 9 Clannfears, less than 5 minutes farming

Compare this to my main account which took 8 hours of farming to find the second copy of the lead and 3 more hours when I went back for the third copy later.

I'm going to try to get some more data points when I can, just throwing these numbers here for now.

I'm hoping @ZOS_Kevin can have the devs take a look at this as these numbers seem very off. I know it's a small sample size, but having to wait 30 days for the lead to reset does make it more difficult to fully test. I may try testing in Banished Cells 1 next as that one also anecdotally felt off for 2nd and 3rd drops.
