Eh. Hyped is a strong word. I suppose I am mildly excited about the prospect of PC EU getting new hardware at some point in the future.
There are a lot of things coming that I am not hyped for. I will likely ignore the card game the way I have ignored companions.
The story writing has my attention because that has been on the weaker side in recent years. When they are making a story about not only the Alliance War but also have it be a political intrigue of some kind rather than another world-ending event, that is sure to make me curious about how well they can execute that. I do hope that this is a success.
Not looking forward to the balance changes either, the usual minor annoyances are there but this time without making me excited about something I wasn't able to do before.
Out of all the sets Mora's Whispers excites me the most, but after the Kilt and Malacath nerfs I've learned to not chase shiny new mythics because they'll be gutted by the time the next chapter releases anyway and the lead farming methods have been the most painful experience in this game for me to date - 7 hours of Shadowfen torture, never again.
And another year without Bosmer stealth being returned, so, cannot get excited about that either.

I'd say pretty "meh" so far but maybe the story really is amazing, then I might get High Isle after all.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

I'm looking forward to the new companions. I don't mind having to level them up and build rapport, although hopefully it's a little easier than the first two.

I'm most looking forward to having an additional zone to run around and play in.

As with previous expansions, I've done only minimal exploration on the PTS, because I don't want to spoil things for myself by playing through all of the content early and leaving myself nothing much to do when the chapter is released.

Ember Claws joining the family - the fishing thing we will have to work on though ...

A new place to go wandering.

New PD to run with Clan Claws - we only get PD with the annual chapter.

Some new diggy things to hunt for.

New furnishing recipes - although this time there are very few foods and kitchen things, which are usually the things that this one can make the most use of.

This is a very good question. No, I'm not hyped, that was the last time before Greymoor came out, I was really looking forward to the antiquity system, to Blackreach and vampires, but that's probably my personal taste. At least I'm looking forward to exploring a new landscape in High Isle and getting new furniture (even if it doesn't look much different than in Leyawiin...).

Looking forward to removing purple gears off Bastian, and give them to Isobel as the new tank/healer. Bastian will retire, work as a librarian at Blackwood City Library, and be forever free from cheese and red circles.

Also looking forward to adventures with Ember.

This is likely the last ESO chapter (after that, Starfield and retraining to speak in first person non-cat) that Sammy will play, so it’ll be bittersweet.

^THIS! And yes, the Guild skill lines will be easier; one full rank per quest completed. However, leveling the rapport and Companion level itself appears to have not changed and will be just as tedious.

Everything that a new zone will have to look forward to tbh.
    • New NON-daedric mortals-are-dumb-but-we-want-ur-world plot.
    • New areas to wander and to poke about in.
    • New WBs to finally be able to solo after dying 20 times. destroy.
    • I've mained a Breton since ES Morrowind, will be cool to learn more about her roots and culture.
    • New mythics\and antiquities to hunt up.
    • New house(s), and new furnishings and plans, etc
    • I'll even give the card game a look. I was indifferent when I first heard about it. But I felt the same way about Orlog in AC Valhalla, that little game is hella addictive lol.
    • New Companions and what level of annoying they are set to.
It's all new content worth checking out, so I will. If I went thru life judging everything at first appearances I would have missed out on an immeasurable amount of enjoyment. So I'll try a little of everything on my plate first and then see what I want to go back for seconds :)

All of it except the card game (including Ember - because while neither of the first two companions were of any interest at all to me, a Khajiit sorc who hopefully won't mind normal gameplay of whatever sort unlike the other two could make a difference). Bretons are my second favorite race (behind Redguard) so hopefully this chapter will be wonderful just in that aspect. No daedra! Thank you!

And a new area to explore is always great. I was SO unenthused about the Skyrim chapter - the only reason I bought it was for antiquities and the free house; I still haven't done anything there except pick up skyshards and do antiquities. I love Blackwood (even though I died WAY too many times getting through the quest line), and I'm hoping High Isle will be even better.

Excited for the zone itself and the new trial.

Also it’s nice to see Companions who are themed after the other base game classes. It makes me wonder.....
Next year will we see a Warden and Necro? If so, what happens after that? New classes...? 🤔

It has particular significance for Clan Claws because we released this video just before diggy was announced - and thus we have always called it diggy.

Bastian will retire, work as a librarian at Blackwood City Library, and be forever free from cheese and red circles.

I don't use the Companions much when I'm playing, except when absolutely needed; in fact, I've also been cutting way back on my use of combat pets, except when absolutely needed. But when I do use a Companion, it's got to be Bastian. I need him to tell me when to use a Stamina potion. Not that I ever carry any potions of any kind around with me, mind you-- but I still need him to remind me that I'm an idiot for never using potions. And no, I'm not stuck; I'm choosing to remain still. :)

New story, new lore, new sights including the beautiful architecture, the new companions, new factions, overall Breton theme.

Also I want the story to convince me this Ascendant Order is truly the enemy, because if its just trying to kill the Alliance leadership, the Alliances have done far worse things (Dominion General trying to wipe out the Argonians for example).

New quest content. Sea Serpent's Coil for my Templar and Mora's Whispers for leveling crafting toons and for other characters that already use 2 pieces of crit rate monster helm gear. Obviously ranged toons will still use the kilt until it gets nerfed more, but Mora's is definitely better for melee toons. A friend of mine has a motor function disability, so I'm looking forward to running trials with him thanks to Oakensoul. Tried the card game, and it's some casual fun (still think it should have been TESL, but it's not terrible just too repetitive). Oh! The sorc change. Not the one you're thinking of, I really like the frag change. Gonna use it on my stam sorc, felt super fun to use in the PTS. I hope they think about adding minor savagery to the Exploitation passive. That would be tops.

    not interested in:

    card game
    antiquities
dailies without guaranteed drop of style mats
furnishing plans that just repeat what we had before (another dresser, another table)

I AM interested in new regions to explore, but from the preview videos I'd say this isle is not larger than former DLCs (not chapters) like the Rift.

I also see that important requests were ignored again, that would help to improve some severe issues:
    - difficulty scaling of worldbosses
    - insane amounts of ancient sandstone for fargrave structures
    - horrible droprate for blueprints like the blackwood wardrobes and other wooden furniture (just available from stealing)
    - last but not least the frustrating situation concerning heartwood/mundane runes

On xbox EU, regions like blackwood or Northern Elsweyr are almost dead meanwhile as such basics do not get adressed.

So there remains ONLY the small region to explore for me, and this does not justify to spend the price like for a full triple A game like horizon for me, despite having bought elsweyr and greymoor on release, and blackwood as prepurchase.
Will get it for 20 bucks on sale somewhen maybe.
