Very, very login time with M1

I've recently installed ESO on my new iMac 24" (16Gb, Monterey).
The program runs flawlessly and I experience a FPS rate higher than on my older Intel iMac 27", but the initial login time is incredibly long. About 10' of waiting! (this does not happen on the older iMac, mean).

Anyone else is experiencing that same problem?

Update: I've tried to start directly from thee eso.app, bypassing Steam and the launcher.
BUM: login time back to normal.

Cannot give any interpretation to this (except for the most obvious one), and I'm going to do further testing.

2nd update: Tried to run the game from the launcher, bypassing Steam. Looong logging in time. I guess launcher is the culprit, then.

Have you tried reinstalling the ESO Launcher?

As should be evident from my posts above, I use Steam, and Steam allows only to reinstall the WHOLE game. I do not feel in the least inclined to go through this hassle, especially considering that the result is not guaranteed.

I had similar issue that disappeared after I disabled my antivirus suite

Interesting. However, I prefer to keep my AV on.
Another way to reduce the issue that I found, is to close the launcher as soon as the eso app starts.
