Will you use the Oakensoul mythic ring next patch?

I would have before it got Nuked to worthless. Now it's a no go for me. I was SOOOO excited and looking forward to this because I spend 99% of my time solo. This was going to help me solo dungeons I could not have before. Plus it was going to actually make WW"s viable for my solo play. I wish they would have just toned down the stats a little it would have been great. But ZOs over reacted as usual [snip]

Did you guys really want an op bis for any build item? How lame that would have been to keep it the way it was.
No one is saying they have wanted it to remain as it was and be OP BiS. That's a poor way of trying to invalidate valid issues. This thing is largely useless for group play, when you'll likely get most of these buffs from others, and in solo play the big ones you can get from potions.

Pretty sure we all realized it was going to get nerfed, just not how. The question is why ZOS even released it with the values it had originally. Instead of simply scaling back the values of the unique buffs so they weren't so OP when stacked with Major/Minor buffs, they went the lazy way and just made it give a handful of perma Major buffs. As others have said, for most people that's simply not worth giving up 5 skills and another Ult for.

Right, so it's very useful for some people but not so overwhelmingly powerful that EVERYONE needs to use it. So they got it just right with the changes

It's not useful for anyone because it's too powerful for overland, not good enough for difficult solo content, and sucks in group play because the buffs you get are redundant with group buffs so you get more damage out of the Wading Kilt even if you're still only using one bar, and there's no reason for werewolves to use it over shapeshifters chain.

So no, they didn't get it just right, the made the worst mythic in the game - even worse than Snow Treaders which literally no one uses, because even Snow Treaders have a unique utility.

20% of this tiny poll say they'll use it, so "not useful for anyone" is not true. Not good enough for difficult solo content? Like what, vet Maelstrom? If you're having trouble with vet Maelstrom, one item won't fix that.

Not useful for group play? Arguable. Not everyone has perfect group buffs, and you can make new types of group combos with fewer "necessary" sets and skills.

Get more out of wading kilt? So? They're different use cases.

No reason for ww to use it? Ok... So?

If you're just mad it's not super awesome op for your specific character and intent, then it's not made for your use. Other people play differently.

"it will be good for people who don't know what they're doing"
Because mythic items are for people who don't know what they're doing.

The whole point of a mythic is that it's supposed to be powerful. This is not powerful, it's useless. A 5pc overland set is where you would put a bonus that would improve the performance of someone who doesn't know what they're doing, not a legendary mythical item of historical power.

"I finally finished my epic quest to get this mighty and powerful ancient legendary enchanted ring... and it's no better than what that healer over there could bless me with"

It's going to work fine for someone like me who solos because of horrendous ping. I don't ever have a handy pocket healer, as I don't do group content....

With a little luck, using it I'll be able to kill a group of 3 overland mobs in a second or so like everyone else says they can.

It seemed like a fun casual item to fart around with before the nerf. Could make a casual 80k dps build for vet trials when I don't want to play flight of the bumblebee on my keyboard to perform the miracle that is 140k dps. I was more happy for a friend of mine that has a motor function disability; he's never been able to participate in vet trials since he can only use very simple one-bar builds. He face rolls overland combat and normal dungeons with his 40-50k dps, and the ring with an adjustment to his gear put his build up to 90k dps. It's a shame that they nerfed it; he still hits 75k dps in overland content with the nerf, but since all the buffs on the ring are covered in vet trials, he still won't be able to participate without essentially getting carried. Hopefully ZoS rethinks the nerf.

Flight of the Bumblebee…that made me laugh so hard at the image it conjures in my mind of you at your keyboard with your hands flying feverishly and frantically over the keys. I needed that, thank you!!! 🤣

Me, I’ll give it a try if I come across it but I won’t go out of my way to find it and I expect I’ll like my standard two-bar builds better, but who knows? 🤔
