There's not 20 million players loool
Once the Bethesda launcher goes down you'll get to see the real number on at least Steam and then maybe, just maybe, you can multiply it by 3 cause of consoles. I don't see the number going up more than 2-3k. Everyone on here always says most people use the Bethesda launcher anyways [snip]

I bought the game on Steam. I have 1000+ hours played since 2015, logging on most days. I use the launcher to update the game when needed, otherwise I run the eso64.exe directly. I usually do not have Steam running, because ESO is the only game I play these days. When I do run Steam occasionally, it says I have played 2 hours. There's not 20 million players loool

I tough i heard eso laucher wasnt affected?
20 million accounts created during lifetime* especially during free to play weekends*
I think eso's regular/loyal player base is more like 100-200k ppl per server, perhaps less.
Hence the high prices for products.
