Is there a disadvantage or (possible) future penalty for discarding trophy items?

Does anyone know? We can't store these items in our bank & they are unsellable so they just take up space in our already limited inventory. Might we need them later for some off the wall, random 'Trophy Quest' @ endgame, for kicks? If not, I'd really like to discard them...

Kalcipher1✭✭✭When I try to store them in my bank, I get a pop-up notification that says, "This Item Cannot Be Stored". Must be a bug if you are able to store these items. Argh!0

elwhy✭✭✭Yea, I banked them no problem and then ended up transferring them to an alt I don't use often. I would still like to know if there is any point in keeping them at all though...1
