Master Crafting Tables

I’m not sure this is the right place to ask about this. Since the move within the game has been to merge and consolidate various things, and the past add of the reconstruction of sets using the Transmute station, I’ve been hoping and waiting for something similar for set crafting tables.

With so many craft-able sets, and more being added with new content, I’d like to see a big change to attunable crafting stations.

My thought is to have a Master Crafting Station for each type, blacksmithing, clothing, woodworking, jewelry. Then purchase an attunable stone or key that feeds into the master crafting station once it has been attuned. Allowing us to choose from a list (alphabetical please) of the craftable sets for that station.

This would get rid of the mass clutter in our guild halls to say the least.

If you were to implement something like this, give those that have massive amounts of tables the opportunity to turn in or feed those tables into a master crafting station.

Thoughts?

I know a lot of people have been asking/thinking about something like this. Personally I love the idea, the ones who have the attunable tables already need to have a way that their time, energy and gold doesn't feel like a waste. I can see a bunch of angry people if nothing was given/compensated for if they have all the tables already and in that particular case I wouldn't blame them at all. I don't have a good answer/idea but I like having 1 table and being able to access all of the ones that house has.

Introduce a new item... called a "Master's Clothing Station", purchasable with writ vouchers.

Then, already attuned stations can be "stored" (like a container) in them allowing you to access those stations when interacting with the Master station.

    The value of attunables remains.
The "cleaning" of guild halls can be accomplished.

Yes, just what OP said. This basic idea has been asked for many times. The current system used to work okay long ago - before the addition of a fourth (jewelry) craftible table type and the relentless adding of craftible sets. The current system has far exceeded the appropriate expandability that is appropriate for it.

Several years ago, my full service guild hall fit comfortably in Hunding's mansion and it was a fabulous place to both craft, change mundus, etc as well as have social get togethers. The neverending growth of attunable crafting tables eventually pushed us to the Psijic Palace. And now, even that looks like sea of warehouses instead of a welcoming guild hall.

And how do you find the table you want in that sea of warehouses? Thank Mara for the addition of the quest marker for master writs (a wonderful qol improvement) but that is of no help for the hapless crafter looking to craft a particular item for their own use. To help with that, our poor guild hall manager (bless her heart) feels obliged to keep the sea of tables totally arranged in alphabetical order. This necessitates lengthy and painstaking rearranging of tables with every new release of more craftible sets. . . .

This would be a cool way to do it. Then you could also have guild halls be some of the cooler smaller houses because you wouldn't need some massive open area in the larger bland houses.

Been numerous threads on this lately, I think a lot of folks are dreading having to rearrange hundreds of crafting tables yet again.

Going to repeat the same 2 things I upvote everytime this highly requested feature comes up.

This comes up so often ZOS must be aware of it, so maybe they could acknowledge it. If it's not possible then just tell us.

If it is implemented it needs to include a way to incorporate existing attunable crafting stations.

+1000 to this. Some sort of consolidation of the crafting stations would be a massive Quality of Life improvement for our beloved Guild Masters.

Also the Guild homes could then avoid the awful "sweatshop" ugliness.

When I read the title I thought this was about making a new crafting station that works for any equipment type (armor, jewelry, weapon). I agree the number of stations necessary seems to have grown out of hand though, so +1 support anyway.

I think OPs idea is the best one to tackle this problem. It's gets harder and harder to make guild halls look good due to how many furnishing spots that are taken by crafting tables. At the moment, it's 272/700 slots, soon to be 284/700.

This solution keeps the voucher cost for new sets, thus still giving us a reason to keep doing master writs, won't punish players who already have all the stations and resolves the limited space we have for the houses.

If ZOS cares about their players, this should be implemented.

I'm willing to lose all the craft stations I bought for this. But the developers have not made a single step towards the Guilds of players over all these years. We have been asking for multifunctional stations for a long time. Asked for a dlc guildhall with a guild binding. About expanding the statistics and functionality of guilds, tasks, currency. And we got nothing.

It is my hope that people don’t lose existing tables but are able to exchange/merge them into a single “Master” table for that type. That way no one loses anything but gains space and ease of use.

I just wish I knew how to petition ZOS for something like this that would get through to the right people for implementation.

The bolded, particularly. Perhaps @ZOS_Kevin could at least make sure this is passed along to the dev team, regardless of what happens/is decided in the future? He's usually pretty awesome with at least saying "Yup, team is aware" or "I'll make sure to pass this along, thanks!"

This is a growingly hot topic on the mind of basically every guild I know of that has a crafting hall. And it's a problem that won't go away soon, but rather gain steam and momentum as the trickling flood of tables continues to grow.

It would be absolutely wonderful to be able to get a master table of each type and "feed" it preexisting attuned tables which would unlock those sets as options. Then you interact with the master station and see the list of available sets (with a search option ideally), scroll to the one you want, and craft your desired item. We still have to make and spend our writ vouchers like we always did, guild halls get to be blissfully uncluttered, and we don't have to shift eleventy billion tables every time new sets come out.
PC NA, CP2200+. Character creation is the true endgame.
