Dearest ZOS,

Big fan - been playing for a few years now. I spend a bunch in game.

With the most recent event - I figured you know wth, I will level an alt. Double XP, AwA, why not?

Got to 50, got some gear, started rolling in game , went to outfit station…

[snip]???

Purchased outfit slots aren’t account wide? This seems a bit too far (coming from someone who buys crates regularly)

If these outfit slots were like 100 crowns, ok, I’ll give that one to you - but at 1000 crowns these outfit slots need to be account wide.

It’s a Jim Lahey type of move - I’ll leave it at that

Please change outfit slots to be account wide.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

This was brought up when outfit slots were released. ZOS had no comment then and will likely have no comment now as well.

I would like to think that most players agree that the price for an outfit slot, while being per character is ridiculous. Had they been account wide, I may have considered some, but with them being per character, they simply aren't targetting me as a player that uses many alts. They are likely targetting players that heavily favor a main character or only play one character. Also, it seems they are able to "trick" many people into buying them assuming they are account wide. They only find out later that isn't the case.

ZOS is seemingly fine with this payment structure as they did the same thing with armory slots recently. I can't openly say what I feel about this monetization strategy as I would be nearly instantaneously banned from the forums. Lets just leave it at that for my opinion on it.

LOL, OPs name made me laugh.

It would be interesting if they did something with outfit, armory slots where they gave both pricing models. One price for character, a higher price for account wide. I bet they would make way more money, but clearly, just speculation. I would honestly pay a few k crowns for account wide, but realistically wont buy any more of either at current prices. I have bought 2-3 of each total.

Yep, same thing happened to me after I purchased one (and because of this ridiculous price - only) slot.

Yep, I really only bought a slot or two for my main a few years back. Now that the armory has released though and some of my alts have two very different builds I'm kinda looking to have them change between two outfits but it can't happen. I'm making do with costumes but yeah... feels bad man.

Yea theres a lot of things they do that are like this, same with the armoury slots and stuff.
They caught me with it as well, This game has some pretty awfull monitization stratergies, things arnt clear.

Sorry you fell for it but im sure that was their intention and im sure that you're not alone.

Also quite sure this post will get removed.

Don't forget, this extends to Armory slots too. Buying an additional loadout in the armory system is per character as well.

They should be account wide ofc. But lets do some math!

    Exemple:

    1) If 100 players buy outfit\Armory slot (1500 crowns ea), ZoS sell 150 000 crowns
    2) To lower the price, for something like 100Crowns ZoS need 1500 players to buy outfit\Armory slot.
    3) or if outfit\Armory slot was 100 crowns, ZoS need each of 100 players buy 15 outfit\Armory slot just to keep the rate or they will lose money!

100 players*1500 players it's to simple.... Just forget it!
