Lock a character could save from mental institution

hello, I play eso from the start. Between my 16 character there is one that has ALL the furnishing plans, ALL the recipes, ALL the traits researched. Thinking of someone erasing him give me the shiver. I don't know if people steal account in eso but if it happen and someone delete him or even in the remote possibilities that I do that for an absurd error is quete bothersome. Is there a way to 1) make the recipe ecc account wide or give the player to lock a couple of pgs so that there is no way that thay can be cancelled ? Thanks

No there isn't and no you can't. Service is able to recover your character if needed though.

That isn't a guarantee. They might do it; they might not. And if they do, it would be a one-time only "favor," as those types of things usually are.

Even if you could lock a character, there would certainly be a way to unlock it and anyone hacking your account could simply do that as well.

As for making recipe knowledge account wide in some way, I'm all for it, though I'm sure there will be plenty of people adamantly against it that might even just rage quit the game if it was added.

Not only that, there's no guarantee they'll restore your character to how they were or return all the items that were on them and also got deleted.

OP, it's highly unlikely your account will get hacked, as anyone doing so would also need to get into your email to get a code thanks to logging on to your account from a different IP. And it's next to impossible to accidentally delete a character, as you have to select Delete on them, type DELETE in capitals, and then confirm.

I agree but have to add for OP:
      * Use a STRONG password and not a password you create for convenience.
      * Consider creating an email account that is ONLY used for ESO. Put a strong PW on it too, that is not the same PW as your ESO account PW.
      * Do NOT give the log-in credentials to anyone, hard stop.
      * For gods sake please don't ever pay for any of the carry services where you must give them your log-in info so they can control your character through whatever content they are carrying it through. Just no.

I'm asking for an unlockable thing. permanently lock a character to your account with no possibility of unlocking like when you delete them and you can't recover them. at least one or two permanent locked character should exist.

Never given login credential to anyone and I don't use carry service.

But you wold be surprised by how dumb I can be: deleted some legendary jewels because it's true that you have to write DELETE in capitals but you can also do copy-paste to make the process faster if you have to destroy a lot of items..... so I did and lost like a milion of gold for each of the 2 item i destroyed (materials that I had to reuse to make another legendary ring). I also destroyed for error other minor stuff but that wasn't a problem.

It's one thing to be deleting trash or stuff you don't want in your inventory than it is to do that on the character select screen, though. Even if you had DELETE in your clipboard, the probability of selecting Delete on a specific character and then hitting the keys needed to paste DELETE and then hitting or clicking Enter are...very very very low.

As I said there is also the possibility that someone steal your account and delete your characters. It is a very very very low possibility but now there are TWO very very very low possibilities.....
Maybe my girlfriend is pissed that I pass too much time on the pc or she want to do a prank...
Now we are at FOUR very very very low possibilities......
I would prefer a ZERO chance of that happening.

My first character is there form the start, 8 years but as the recipe-funishing plans-styles accumulate (I have more than thousand of them for sure, maybe a thousand only counting the armors and weapons styles)....
Zero possibility is the right possibility!

I say ESO has an fundamental issue with the way accounts and characters are not backed up.
An old WOW troll move is to sell your account, then getting it back then an new expansion drops.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
