Our Collections Menu Needs Organizing

I'll confess, I love unlocking cosmetics. I've spent a decent amount of money on them. Fashion is a big deal. But one of the worst mistakes I made was purchasing a bundle pack that gave me a ton of hairstyles from the base game and the same for body markings.

I am using an add-on to help alleviate this, but it has its limitations.

A simple way to do this would be to allow us to mark collectibles with a Shape/Color system. Something simple that lets you assign a shape and a color to any collectible by selecting the shape/color from a drop down menu on top, right clicking on a collectible and assigning it. Then allow us to filter based on those two variables. You'd probably only need 5 shapes and colors, but it wouldn't be difficult to do more.

This way I could, for example say only show me things marked "Blue" or "Circle" or "Blue AND Circle." Or whatever colors and shapes you pick. I don't care. We just need some organization.

I agree, the sheer number of individual cosmetic items should merit a category system rather than a long list of having to scroll, read, look, try out.

Body markings could be sorted in for example faction, vintage, glowing, tribal. Would be helpful with category sections!

A favorites list would be cool too, most of my favorite costumes for my companions tend to be scrambled in the middle of my outfits so it's not like I can start from the top or the bottom.

Moving the 'tools' and 'allies' outside of the collections and into the root pause menu would be nice too.

    Absolutely, yes!

I would love a favorites list. Right now if you have a lot of stuff, it can take a while to find this specific item or collectible you're looking for.

Yes there is a search tool, but what if you don't remember the name?

I'd really like if there was some way to organize our collectibles into more categories, or as you suggested by color.
If we at the very least could get an option to set favorites, that would make things a lot better.

I use an addon called IsJusta Favorite Collectibles: https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info3119-IsJustaFavoriteCollectibles.html

For me it pretty much solves the problem by letting me mark the collectibles I use most as favourites and move them to the top of the list (or a separate list for mounts and pets). I modified it so its character specific instead of account wide, but that's easy to do.

But I do think ZOS should build something in to the game itself, both because consoles can't use addons and because PC players shouldn't need them to make menus manageable.

I use it as well, but it doesn't do it per character and has what I've favorited on one favorited on another.

So it helps a lot, but makes just a slightly less chaotic mess of collectibles that are isolated from the rest.

Yes, I really regret buying that markings bundle. It was inexpensive and I thought it would be nice to have a lot more options, but all it does is make it hard to find the ones I really like. The ones I expressly bought, or the ones I acquired through gameplay.

My solution would be to have the bundle itself be a clickable item in the face or body menu, and then it takes you to the contents.

It would also be nice to hide the ones that can't be used by my current character.
