If I already have the stream pet, can the code be given to a friend that was not able to watch...?

I don't think it can - you need to link your account to twitch, so I think it's locked to your account in game.

I think the reason you need to link your ESO and Twitch accounts together is so ZOS knows when and what you're watching on Twitch. If there were no link, how would ZOS be expected to know that someone associated with a particular ESO account was watching an ESO-drops-enabled channel on Twitch?

As far as gifting the code for the Purple Torchbug pet, someone should try it and see, then report back to us. I don't see why it shouldn't work, but that doesn't mean it will work.

ESO streamers gift other sorts of ESO codes to viewers quite often-- codes for exclusive Pink Torchbug pets (at least, I would assume it's gifted via a code), for new chapters, for the ESO base game, etc. They also gift in-game gold or items purchased with Crowns in the Crown Store, but you certainly can't buy the Pink Torchbug, new chapters, or the base game with Crowns in the Crown Store. And you can hear streamers say things such as "I've got codes for PC and console" when they're announcing a giveaway for a chapter or Pink Torchbug pet.

I'm not sure if there's an actual code associated with the stream rewards you get from having linked accounts. Those rewards are typically delivered straight to the linked game account, so there's no code to redeem to get the prize. (Unless there's something people have gotten that I haven't ever seen.)

I was just looking at the three emails I got regarding the two crates and the pet. Each one does contain a code, but they say that the codes were applied to my account when I logged in, so that means the codes have already been used and can't be gifted to anyone else.

I don't remember if I already had a Purple Torchbug pet from watching a previous stream, or if the one in my Collections is the one associated with the code I was just emailed; I'll have to look through past emails and announcements to see if they gave out the Purple Torchbug during prior events.

(Edit: Yes, I already had the Purple Torchbug pet from watching the ESO Dark Heart of Skyrim Year-End Preview back in September, 2020, which I assume was a preview for the Markarth DLC that concluded the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline.)

Anyway, you should be able to gift a code which has not already been applied to your account, but I'm pretty sure you can't gift any code that (Edit: the email message says) has already been applied.

There's another chance at it next week 19th and 20, tell your friend to go to those recap streams

I doubt it's giftable since it's autoapplied to your account.

    Code gets sent to email

Ah, I rarely check my game-associated email so I probably just don't notice them until I'm clearing things out later. But yeah as SeaGtGruff said I think they're applied automatically so the code seems kind of superfluous.

Don't they auto-apply the Twitch codes to your account at the ZOS end, and just send you an email stating that your account has been granted either the pet and/or Ouroboros crates?
That's how PC has been working for awhile, at least.

Actually, even though I'd swear I originally saw two codes in my mail, when I went back to it, was only the one for the crate...
so was unable to test. Probably goes directly as others have said. Was just a thought. Seems a waste *shrug*
      Thanks for answers!

If they've done the purple torchbug before, I'd be fantastic if they'd return the clouded senche-leopard as a drop too. I missed that one on account of my mom forbidding me to have a twitch account - don't know why I listened, it's my favourite mount :'(
Thank god I got old enough to be free and move awaaaayy :)

Also, you can't gift the codes that have been mailed as you log in, I've tried to gift a twitch dropped crate to someone who needed three gems for the mount they really wanted.

Each drop had a separate email. This particular stream had 3 drops-- the Purple Torchbug, an Ouroboros Crown Crate, and a second Ouroboros Crown Crate-- so you should have gotten 3 separate emails if you earned all 3 drops. [Edit: Just clarifying, since it sounded like you might have meant 2 codes in 1 email.]
