250? last week it was 1200.

And 10 is not enough for a daily.

Last week was an anomaly, ZOS apology for the problems at U33 launch. 10 daily isn't super high but it's in the range they've been in.

That was a one time deal because of lag. They don't give a lot of seals per day because they make most of your seals for the week in the weekly

They should at least keep the amount constant like 500 per week or something.

The thing is, we used to get more Seals. ZOS has lowered them since introducing them. I know someone did all the comparing and stuff several months back and proved the downward trend, but I don't know if anyone has recently done all that again to see if it's continued.

What annoys me is even if they gave us more, like 500 a week, that's still only 2k in a month and maybe 6-8k in the course of any given Crown Crate season. Legendary items take 3.6k, and it's a tier they keep putting more stuff into. The people who buy the most Crates are going to be whales, and they aren't going to be put off buying a whole bunch to get what they want without waiting to accumulate Seals.

What I'm saying is they could stand to give us more Seals because many people would still buy the Crates to try and get what they want without waiting and without having to spend their Seals. It's like they're giving the bare minimum.

They only introduced the endeavour system to circumvent gambling regulations regarding loot boxes in certain countries. It's not meant to reward the players in a meaningful way.

What bothers me more is that ZOS is raising the requirements for the endeavors slowly over the last weeks.

    Examples for dailies:
Open 5 crates without force (was 3 some time ago)
do 100k damage with siege weapons in cyrodiil (was 75k)
do 2 quests for cheydinhal in cyrodiil (was 1)
and much more, nearly every quest has its requirements upped.

Not a biggie atm, but how will it be in a year or so ? Will it change from an additional reward during normal gameplay to something you have to work for and put additional time in ? Can't ZOS give us nice things without making it a chore over time ?

For new people - Endeavours are a means (not the means) to get stuff from the Crown store.

They exist courtesy of ZOS, not because we made them do this.

They exist because loot boxes are illegal in countries like the Netherlands, and countries like the UK are on the verge of declaring them illegal. Loot boxes are to all intents and purposes indistinguishable from other forms of gambling: they offer a chance of rewards based on a payment of real money, otherwise known as a lottery. In most jurisdictions offering gambling without complying with the applicable rules is against the law. If there is no realistic alternative means to get the rewards in the game, then whoever is providing loot boxes faces serious trouble. I'd be hesitant to cast endeavours as a "courtesy".

Oh I know. It's not just to circumvent the laws either but because Microsoft has a policy where everything that can be purchased via real-world money in any of their games needs to also be able to be earned in-game. So this is the system we have now. It's not meant to be rewarding in any meaningful way but I think ZOS should consider that they need some more goodwill extended to their players, especially as of the last month or so.

We didn't make them, but Microsoft did. See my response above. It's not a courtesy, they HAD to in order to be in line with Microsoft policy.

The downward trend lasted a lot less than people think, it was mostly the first few weeks. It stablized afterwards. What people thought was continued downward trend was actually them lowering the daily rewards but increasing the weekly rewards until we leveled off for a long time now. They wanted to shift towards making the endeavors primarily done weekly rather and make the daily ones more skippable. Now the endeavors are very weekly heavy.

The prices of the items and the amount of seals you can acquire are directly linked as there is a hard cap to how many you can earn in a day. ZOS designed this ratio intentionally. Asking to increase the rewards would just come with an increase to seal costs at the same time to keep the ratio as it is now.

The Microsoft policy does not apply to existing content they acquire. It applies only to content being developed. The exemption is explained in the policy.

i still wish they would give more for the weekly, technically speaking the weekly are about even with the daily

on a worse case scenario, 10 seal per daily endeavor, or 30 seal per day, that would equal 210 seals over the same 7 day weekly period of the weekly endeavor

best case scenario is 20 seal per daily endeavor, or 60 seal per day which would be 420 seals from dailies

the weekly ones being in the 200-400 range basically give the 1 weekly the same value as 7 days worth of dailies

so if you dont do the dailies but do the weeklies, your giving up approximately 50% of your endeavor rewards for that reward week (this is also excluding the bonus reward week giving us 1200 endeavors as a serious outlier)

i dont think the daily ones would be "skippable" until every weekly was giving us 1000+ endeavors (such as making 1000-1500 endeavors "normal")

It may not but it was still applied. Don't think it was mere coincidence this debuted shortly after the acquisition personally.

Wouldn’t ESO be considered content or having content that is continually being developed? Makes sense to me.

It is coincidence with Microsoft. It directly follows the change in law in some European nations. They had to find a way to comply to continuing to offer crates in those countries. This change was coming whether Microsoft purchased the studio or not.

ESO is considered a finished project in that it has been released. Microsoft is staying hands off on games already out and allowing the companies that developed them to update and maintain them. Microsoft is interested in future projects and projects currently being developed.
