Alliance Change Token and PVP

Yesterday, I changed factions in pvp from EP to AD. The character was only played in Blackreach, but after the alliance change, I went to Greyhost. No problem. Today, however, none of my AD characters can enter GH. I get a msg that says "One of your characters from an opposing alliance is already assigned to this campaign." GH was faction locked to my AD characters already. Is there a fix for this or do I have to wait until the campaign is over?

Odd... sounds like a bug. Fortunately it isn't long until the campaign is over, but that is little solace if you hoped to get tier one with that alt.

I submitted a ticket in the game before posting here. I had hoped to increase my chances of a reply, but sadly, nothing.

I have yet to try this for myself but I suppose I'll pass this on: I am told by others in my guild that you have to first de-home the campaign on every character, then do the swap, then lock it to avoid this.

I have no idea if it can work if done in a different order (ie. de-homing on every character last), but if you can do so without an AP cost, that might be worth a try. It's really dumb and frustrating, I know. But this is the only workaround I've heard about.

If there's an AP cost I wouldn't attempt this as I cannot confirm it actually works. I'd just wait for the campaign to end in a couple days and then do the de-homing at that point so you don't have to pay for it.

Still incredibly tedious, so I do hope it works.

To leave a campaign, it costs 100k ap, PER character. I was going to have my AD characters leave GH to play in BR because of the lack of lag. Leaving a camp and then rejoining again though, isn't something as players we should have to do. I won't. I'm just hoping that the toons I did get to T3 for rewards don't get screwed-over. @ZOS_GinaBruno

I don’t think it costs AP if you wait until the end of the campaign. I’ve only done it once but it was a long time ago and I’m a little fuzzy on the details. I’m pretty sure that I would not have been able to spend that much AP when I did it, though.

Yeah, it does. They didn't fix it. Now it tells me that an EP character is in the Greyhost campaign and to unlock it that I have to remove them from it. So I did, for 100k AP. The faction is now unlocked, I haven't tried to go there yet, but if it happens again, I want a refund for the alliance change token.
