Hello community,
After some years i decided to come back to ESO after trying another MMO and realising ESO did it better(in most parts). At first i loged in because of nostalgia but i quickly decided to start playing this game actively once again and some things immediately started bothering me and i would like to share them. They most likely have been discussed already but i want to share my point of view.I could mention some things like pvp lag etc but i will focus on 2 quality of life improvements:

1)Build change inconvenience
In the old days we used to spend a lot of gold and time in game to respec if we wanted to change from pvp to pve and it led to a lot of issues like wasting time or skipping one aspect of the game entirely which led to less activity in both pvp and pve content.I noticed the addition of the armory system which you can save builds and save a lot of time but when you put things to practice the inconvenience is still there in a smaller scale.Ever since i played this game i felt like i wanted to play more but the game didn't help me get in the action fast enough. In an every day scenario what happens if i want to play pvp and pve interchangeably i would have to teleport to my home and use the armory which means i cannot do anything else.If you do this once it is not that big of a deal but through time it adds up to a lot of time spended teleporting back and forth for no actual reason. In the meantime i am not able to do quests, general activities in the world, dailies etc.I believe you need to change it into a tab where you can change build from anywhere.I point this out because it is a feature that should be taken for granted. You did good to implement it as it improved quality of life but it failed to remove every last bit of inconvenience like teleporting back and forth and watching loading screens for no reason.

2)Party finder
If you asked me why i stopped playing i would answer that it became too difficult to find a group to do harder content. If my mates were offline and my guild was busy it was almost impossible to find the right people. The reason it was impossible is that i could not reach them. They could be in another zone, another guild etc.We come to a point where if i want to play i would have to teleport around zones and ask people to join for the specific content.I remember i had to do it even for farm runs in nMOL i would ask craglorn and then circle teleport around the capitals which leads to more wasted time and effort. Why isn't there a system to create and find lobbies to meet people who want to do the same tasks as you(achievement runs, farm runs, trials). This way we could reach the whole playerbase and not only those who happen to see a message in zone chat.

These were two of the issues i stumbled on after returning which players will compare with other games and find eso lacking. You created a lot of beautiful content and i believe you must let your players get in there fast without pointless teleports and loading screens which makes them feel the game itself is adding obstacles instead of giving them the tools to get into the action.

Thank you for reading this far and i hope ESO will improve and take the place it deserves in the MMO community.

You can buy an Armory Assistant and change builds without going back to your house. It costs crowns so you'll either need to spend real world money or buy crowns with gold.

I understand but this should be a feature for everyone,it shouldn't be a luxury. Why do Lost Ark players for example get this from the beginning and we have to pay?I have the crowns and can buy the assistant what happens to the players that don't want to pay for something like this.If we assume that the f2p way of changing builds is to travel to our home and back everytime we wanna change pve/pvp what impression are we giving to the people that would consider starting ESO.There is a need for monetization and i get that, thats why i have an ESO+ subscription and i bought almost all the chapters but i disagree with monetizing something that players take for granted.

I was in a discussion about mmos with a friend and i was trying to convince him eso is underrated and deserves better. In the flow of the conversation i told him that in order to change builds you must visit your home and to find a group you must teleport around zones and he started laughing because these are features that are basic and should come with the game .

Yeah, but in Destiny 1 & 2, you NEVER had to change your build. Someone would just find a nifty weapon in PvE and everyone would use it, then it would get nerfed, then PvE people who thought it was awesome would get screwed.

From that perspective, I can understand the compartmentalization.

I'd like to think it was advance planning, but I'm afraid the truth is PvP was a sort of afterthought -- what if people just took their build and waded into Cyrodiil?

That wouldn't last -- there are always better 1 on 1 skills than the area effects everyone's just going to move out of.

So I think it's accidentally unique, and at times has been almost there, but the recent performance issues and over-the-top builds have driven off a lot of formerly dedicated players (evidence: read the other threads on the forum, it's a topic that pops up all the time).

I suspected lag is still an issue but i wanted to point out what i thought eso could improve on after coming back. What is happening with "Over the top" builds,is the content too easy nowdays?I've been away for quite a while.

A portion of ZOS revenue comes from selling solutions to problems they create. It's unethical.

Probably, that's why they need to take action fast or end up selling assistants to a declining population.I read some other posts too and people had some really cool ideas and things they would like to see.The developers need to assemble every information and feedback from the players and come up with big changes to make the game more compelling. From what i have seen players want:Party finder, increased difficulty,no lag. Some popular suggestions also include a single market instead of guild traders, variety in pvp.

That said i dont suggest they do whatever players ask them to but If i could reach a developer i would say

Keep ESO identity but implement changes by taking into account feedback from the community
