Anyone else finds the endeavors tasks, to put it mildly, VERY badly thought out?

Take this week's...
I scored 125 humanoid kills midway through my first dungeon. How are you supposed to NOT trigger that one BEFORE completing SIX of them?

The only way it could have been done worse is if one of them was, "Loot 6 chests" and the other, "Loot 10 chests" or something.

I don't think thats a bad thing personally, don't forget not everyone plays a DD in a dungeon, a tank is much more likely to get the 6 dungeons before 125 humanoid kills

I like when they aren't one more thing I have to grind for in this game. It's so nice when endeavours pop from activities I already do. Then I think 'ah nice, one annoying to-do-thing off the list' :)

Endeavours exist, at least in part, to provide an alternative to the crown crates to fend off the objection that, in some jurisdictions, crown crates would be illegal (they amount to gambling with real world money). I don't think the idea is to make them super difficult to obtain.

Endeavours are supposed to be easy and also offer options for different playstyles. Some people don't run dungeons at all, so they can do a public dungeon or a bunch of delves or even just quest their way through the overworld and probably kill 125 humanoid enemies in the process.

Also remember that some dungeons don't have humanoid enemies. You could run Banished Cells a dozen times and not get the 125 kills.

Just wondering what % of dungeons don't have anything that counts as "humanoids" in them. Because if it's a high enough number, you could get through a bunch of random dungeons without killing 125.
(or if you're grinding a specific dungeon that's not full of humanoids)

But yeah - some of them seem a bit hard to not get before other ones.
(I'm good with that, because "kill 125 humanoids" is the only weekly I'd do this week. /shrug)

You expected to complete one of the options and turns out you achieved the weekly endeavor by completing another one.
You can still run any dungeons how many times you wish to.
    So, what's the issue?!

As other people have said endeavours are not supposed to be difficult or mutually exclusive, they're just supposed to give players options. The reward is always the same for all of them, so it doesn't matter which one you complete first. They just give a few options so it's not funnelling everyone into the same areas and most players are likely to be able to find something they're willing and able to do.

The nearest it's come to causing a problem for me is when there's one that's something like 'open 2 treasure chests from treasure maps' and on the way to the second one I find I've completed an endeavour I wasn't going to bother with like 'kill 15 insects', because then I feel like I've wasted the first map when I could have saved it for a future endeavour. But that's a very minor problem and often balanced out by the time it saved.

Probably quite a few. 'Humanoids' in this case specifically means enemies who are part of one of the playable races and not classified as something else. For example a vampire or zombie doesn't count as a humanoid even if it uses a human model because the game classifies them as undead. Goblins, giants, human shaped daedra etc. don't count as humanoid even though they fit the dictionary definition.

So there's probably a lot of dungeons where few or no enemies count as humanoids.

Endeavours are supposed to be grindy, because this is a gracious* nod from ZOS to those who are willing to grind in order to get stuff from the Crown Store.

    * - no, this is not spite, I really am happy that ZOS has introduced such currency.

I may not like some of their decisions, but this one I never will.

I'm happy with the endeavors and the way Zos has thought them out. Some days if I don't do them it is no big deal, especially during an event. Just nice to have something else to do with a reward at the end.

There are lots of dungeons full of nothing but vampires or goblins or daedra or skeletons or spiders or whatever. So you will probably hit 125 humanoids before you finish 6 dungeons, but not necessarily. I think idea is that if you are a group PvE player, you can just do pledges and random dungeons at your normal pace and will absolutely get the weekly. You don't have to worry about specifically doing dungeons with humanoid enemies.
