The ESO application, especially since this last patch, has become a CPU hog when I am tabbed to another program. When it is the active program, ESO utilizes 30-40% of my CPU capacity; when it is a background application, it utilizes 75-90% of my CPU capacity.
My CPU is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz (not overclocked) with a Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 operating system.
Why is this a thing? And, more importantly, is it affecting other users?
