295 Outfit Styles but only 10 Outfit Slots...

Dear ZOS,

You have recently released to us the Ascending Tides DLC and although they are not immediately available, this DLC comes with the addition of the Dreadsails and Ascendant Order styles.

With these 2 additional styles, the game is now sitting at 111 style motifs, 99 in-game outfit styles, 80 crown store exclusive outfit styles, and 5 collector’s edition outfit styles. Altogether, that brings us to a grand total of 295 outfit styles (I may have even missed some) that I have to fit into a measly 10 OUTFIT SLOTS.

It would be completely different if Votan’s Improved Outfit Station still worked because then I could just save outfits in this addon that Votan so kindly made for us and then pay a bit of gold or outfit tokens to equip them at whim. Instead you made this addon inoperable and then didn’t add any meaningful system to facilitate the players who enjoy using your outfit system.

There are going to be more expansions and more DLCs and more holiday events and more outfit styles and the more you add, the greater disparity between that total number and 10 outfit slots is going to be.

My dream is of a world in which I can craft an outfit for each of the 40 zones because I’m an immersion nerd and that’s what I enjoy doing in the game. I know I’m not the only one whose being limited by this issue. Please ZOS, either overhaul your outfit system that so many players use and love or just add more outfit slots to purchase.

Best Regards,
D’ni

Yeah, for outfit styles being a reward in basically all aspects of the game it's pretty surprising/unfortunate that they only give you 1 per character and not only that but unlocking outfit slots with crowns is only for that single character.. which I didn't realize when I bought mine.

Agreed, it would be really nice if we can get increased outfit slot unlocks. I'm constantly thinking of new outfits I'd like to create with newer Motif pieces but would rather not get rid of old costumes I love to do so.

I don't want more outfit slots, I want outfit slots to be accountwide. If not that, then drastically lowered in price.

Ah, but that's 295 styles for 7 armor slots. So it's 295^7 variations (because who just wears a single uniform outfit style? how boring!)

So we have 1.9e17 variations to fit in 10 slots! o:)
(eh, can probably ignore the belt slot, so divide that by 295)

...personally, I just use one outfit slot, because 1500 for a single-character unlock is silly. I'm too used to Star Trek Online's (400? for 2 account-wide slots - I've got about 20 unlocked) to think that's a good buy.

Given all the issues that keep getting laid at the feet of "database problems", I kind of doubt they'll give more.

Lemme understand this. You want free outfit slots for simply creating additional characters ? That Should be the requirement. Technically the Account receives a free slot for every character. But if you only have 1 character, you only have 1 slot for free. So just handing an Account 18 slots when there is only 1 character on the Account makes no sense.

STO really did good on that part at least. It has a lot of other issues, but when it comes to costumes and looks they are generous. :)

Maybe not to you, but I understand completely. Some people like variation and dress differently depending on the mood. To each his or her own, if you just want one dress for always, fine. No shame in that. But others have loftier goals with their wardrobes.

I honestly don't understand what you're saying. We currently have 1 slot per character, When we buy another outfit slot we unlock a single slot for that character only. I want outfit slots unlocks to be account wide so if I buy another upgrade all my characters get 1 more slot, not just one of them. 1500 crowns is way too much for a single character.

PREACH IT! It's high time our outfit slots grow to keep pace with the game expansion. 10 is not enough. Fashion is big endgame for me. And that game ended a long ago for me. Not your thing? Fine move along. I'll spend my money the way I want and I want more slots.

Edit: to prove I put my money where my mouth is.

If there was any kind of gaming union, people could just stop purchasing motifs and style pages and such completely, until more outfit slots are given or the prices for them lowered, or made account wide. But that won't happen, because FOMO (I am a victim/perp in that respect as well), so, alas...
