    - Hairstyles like in Guild Wars 2
    - Hair/Clothes physics like in FF14
    - An Aesthetician like in FF14 to change our characters' appearance with gold. We could expand it in ESO by having different stylists around Tamriel who could give you unique makeovers based on their culture.
    - An emote system like in FF14
    - Playing music like the bards in FF14
    - Mounts with more personnalities/usefulness like in Guild Wars 2. We already have different types of mounts in ESO, maybe they could give different perks ?
    - More immersive ways of travelling like in FF14. This is probably an unpopular opinion but I think travelling via wayshrines is too cheap and easy in ESO. In FF14 you have to plan your journeys to be fast and cost efficient, which makes you feel more like you're going on an adventure. Instead of chocobo taxis we could have silt striders and carriages. For long travels by ship we could choose to travel in real time and have activities on board (card game, crafting tables) and/or skip it via loading screen.
    - Being able to climb like in Black Desert Online and swim underwater like in Guild Wars 2.

I would also like crafting to be more useful and accessable than it currently is. EQ(and it's been awhile so I'm not sure if it's still the same) had things that were useful such as weight reduction bags, a better enchantment system (limited by class but in my opinion more useful at the time) Grand Master Crafter doesn't feel all that great considering the work that went into it in ESO. Make crafting a more useful skill than recreate from the sticker book.

You know, one of the non-negotiable, non-optional costs of running an MMO.

Bonus points to the GM who turns up dressed like this:

SWG GMs used to randomly log on as Darth Vader and show up with a squadron of stormtrooper and force choke players who attacked them. It was epic and showed how much the SOE staff valued engagement. (Something they, admittedly, very much needed to prove after a couple of major debacles.)

My wishlist, from "very important to me" to "would be nice":

    1) PvP with no lag, bugs and cheats
    2) Ability to leave zonechat on console
    3) Mute single players in voice chat and adjust their volume (some players are extremely loud, quiet, annoying...)
    4) 2-3 player mounts
    5) "follow player" ability

    6) PvP with bigger fights (more players allowed in cyrodiil)
    7) Training PvP arenas with ranks and rewards (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4... guild vs guild)
    8) PvP siege weapons that can be crafted and upgraded
    9) Monsters in cyrodiil (elephants that you can ride like tanks, dragons that you can fly and burn siege weapons with, big trolls defending keeps so nobody can take a keep solo...)
    10) Ability to upgrade and change the layout of keeps by defending groups of npc reinforcements coming from the homebase (or ambush and kill enemy reinforcements and steal their stuff to upgrade your own keeps with traps, automatic weapons, stronger wood for doors...)

    11) One or two more servers for different timezones (not just eu and na)
    12) Playstation and xbox should play together on the same servers
    13) At least 2 different campaigns in cyrodiil with a few hours break. Like one campaign from 12:00 - 24:00 and the other from 00:00 - 12:00.
    14) Better rewards for winning a campaign in cyrodiil
    15) A different crown and lootbox system. Alliance change, skyshards, guild rank and stuff like that should cost ingame gold, not real money. Money from crowns should be invested in the game, not in the company. And for supporting the game with buying crowns you should be able to buy beautiful mounts, titles, houses, housing items, clothes and weapon skins. Lootboxes should not be bought for real money, everyone should get some every month or earn more by playing different content (1box for a weekly raid, 1 box for a pvp campaign...)

    16) Raidfinder
    17) Different chats for trading and grouping that are not zonechats but can be read everywhere in the game. (And maybe one chat for flirting, politics, trolling, talking bs... like a bar)
    18) Farming simulator for your house (flowers, wood...)
    19) A system that makes farmbots and goldsellers impossible.
    20) "Morning! Nice day for fishing ain't it? Hua hah!" something to make fishing more rewarding and interesting

I wanted to write down 1 or 2 ideas, but then they kept coming and coming... sorry for that

I really like ESO for its storytelling, for its strong level-agnostic combat system, and for a game system that mostly eliminates griefing outside PVP.

There is, however, definite room for improvement with some of the mechanics, especially the various social mechanics where I feel Sony's EQ2 did a great job.
    • I miss having a wide range of built-in chat channels (class, race, level range in addition to the basic guild/group/zone) and being able to have multiple separate chat windows open at once, and being able to create private channels by invitation.
    • I miss built-in voice chat, again with both built-in channels and the ability to create your own. This made PUGs much more enjoyable, especially for a slow typist like me.
    • I miss the universal brokers that let you filter and sift through everybody's sales at once, and see all sales of the same item when putting an item up for sale.
    • I miss housing where authorized friends could place their own items for shared decorating.
    • I miss house portals that you could gift to friends to link houses with fixed access points.
    • I miss guildhalls that all in the guild could decorate together, with its own zone chat to include unguilded visitors and prospective members. And a "Door to the guildhall" that members could place in their own homes.
    • I miss the commemorative mounts, house items, and appearance items given out by major storylines.
    • I miss being able to click on another character to see their outfit parts.
    • I miss invisible appearance armor.
I still like the day-to-day gameplay of ESO better than EQ2, but I would love to see some of these things make it here. While any of these would add to my enjoyment, I think the chat improvements would make the biggest difference to social play within the game.

    Underwater - WoW / GW2
The ability to dive. Marine Life.

    Skill Lines - RIFT
Focus on new Skill Lines to augment and diversify existing classes. Bard Line, Pet Line or Pet taming (new skins for Sorc/Warden pets and a dedicated "pet", not companion for the other classes that don't have)

Ice/Void Gauntlet - New World / Sage Kyve - BDO
New weapon types, and a shift to resource regen from primary stat (or however way you want to work it, I don't care how, just want more variety than Staff... and staff)

More jobs on one character - FFXIV
Keep class racials to still be unique to each race but allow hybridised flexibility for both Magicka or Stamina gearing, as currently why would you be Anything but Khajiit or Dark Elf if you genuinely wanted to take advantage of the Armoury and have both a Magicka and Stamina spec of your fave class.

He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

I know this might come off as snarky but I swear I am dead serious.

I wish we could see the sort of passion of the WoW devs from the original TBC to Wrath run, with massive Blizzcon events like 2006 with like 100 alpha test terminals and live competitions, tons of booths and community, cosplay contests on-stage with bands and after-hours parties...

I think that sort of community energy is just gone from the gaming industry these days and is a huge part of what so many of us are missing.

I also think it is a little sad that we never see a segment on any official stream in 8 years honoring addon authors, even just to help drive traffic so they can get more attention for all they do for the games they support. I mean especially when it costs big companies literally nothing (they stream on free platforms), but would make such a big difference for people that otherwise get next to no attention for the work they do.

Even just no-cost freebies like crowns or other in-game stuff. It boggles the mind that not once in the entire 8+ years of this game has there been an ESO stream featuring addon authors. That is the sort of opportunity that costs basically nothing to seize on, but has significant cost in lost community building potential when you miss the chance time and again, for whatever reason.

I guess what I am mostly saying is that community matters in an MMORPG, and about the most we have seen from the video game industry lately is an attempt to cash in on e-sports and hyper-competitive social media trends via Twitch, and that just seems more than a little sad to me.

I recall one of the main early arguments against a unified Market Board / "auction house" whatever is that it would be too easily price-manipulated. Having played FF14 a good bit, which does have a unified Market Board instead of guild traders, I think this is not a valid concern.

In fact, I have heard directly from the mouth of one of the leading members of a certain top guild trader based in Mournhold, that they organized runs of Dreugh Wax buying from other guilds and resold at much higher prices to manipulate the price upwards over time. Not that I care one bit, people can do whatever they want. Just saying it's an invalid argument against having a universal selling system if it's happening with the guild trader system.

One cool quality of life enhancement they could make to the AwA would be to make Researched traits / etc etc account wide. Yeah this is really low priority compared to just getting the servers to function lmao, but it'd be neato to craft / reconstruct easier on alts instead of having to swap to ones' original crafter character. It probably wouldn't be too hard to code now, with the AwA now in place.

I always remember the pet system in a game called "Perfect World" i would truly love that in ESO,

It was unique to a class called the venomancer but you could tame pretty much any animal from the wild and have it as a combat pet.
I think give that ability to all classes and you can choose to use either a companion or a combat pet.

I would LOVE to have me a big fat wild lurcher as a combat pet.

Would be a dam sight more entertaining than the companions :@)

This is so true, the story is such a waste of resourses imho, i havnt played one since summerset. its just bloat now.

The only thing that I would really like to see ESO have that other MMOs do is more earnable mounts. As in, get them from completing content, or in the content, rather than crownstore. Otherwise I quite like ESO the way that it is, barring the performance issues of course.

Both WoW (and I think Rift) did this. I gained a really cool drake mount from a quest in WoW, once. Felt great.

No thanks, I quit WOW 2 + years ago

I'm confused . . . while I understand wanting ESO to be its own thing, do you not want larger raids, seemless zone traveling, and more earnable options in game (mounts/pets/hair styles)?

Do I want endless reputation grinds from WoW? Absolutely *** not lol. But I would love to have crown crate mounts or other crown store mounts be earnable in game. I think the crown store is necessary since the subscription is "optional." But, to have it as fleshed out as they do is beyond excessive which 99% of ESO players will agree with. Also, I'd love a true open world similar to new world without loading screens. That'd be great! And more class identity in regards to class-specific quest lines, item sets, etc. would be great! But I definitely don't think that ESO's servers could handle 25 man raids since they're barely able to handle 12 currently lol. Cheers!

Larger raids, seamless zone travel and more in game earnable rewards would be fine for sure. But this? No thanks:

Better Companions. I used to play SWTOR where the companions were much better, had deeper stories and actually were part of your storyline. They'd comment on each other some times, on things that happened, sometimes have input on your story quest. Something like that, because Bastian and Miri are not exactly bearable.

"Why did I follow him...? I don't know. Why do things happen as they do in dreams? All I know is that, when he beckoned... I had to follow him. From that moment, we traveled together, East. Always... into the East."

I joked about STO earlier, but when I think about it, there is on thing I do miss from STO (or, earlier STO as it has been removed now) - the ability to make your own little quests and stories that others can take part of. Player made miniquests, as it were. Some of them were silly or basic, but some were extremely well done and interesting.

I haven't played that many mmorpgs so it's hard for me to say, but i did like that you could get hair dyes from fishing on metin 2 so there's that.
    - guild wars, You and the members of your guild would get teleported to a battleground where everyone would fight a enemy guild, winner guilds would get points and show up on leaderboards.
    - Kissing emotes i guess for couples.
It's not a mmorpg, but gold weapons on overwatch have a sparkling effect, nothing that crazy, but it would look cool on max upgraded gear on eso with the option to turn on and off ofcourse.
