Why no double AP?

XP is no use once a character is levelled and whilst gold comes in handy its not the be all and end all.
Whatever way you look at the Anniversary event it is still a double XP event, not a double AP event2 -

Yes really. PVE players don't magically need more xp and gold than PVP players.
Anniversary event gives you rewards from daily quests which pvp is full of. Writs are neither pve or pvp.0 -

I think we will have to agree to disagree on this. I do not need any XP (CP1800+) or gold (17,500,000 in bank) but do need AP.
So for me this event has nothing to offer, I know many PvPers in a similar position, for them XP and gold are irrelevant. AP isn't.
Hence my request that PvP be given some of the love Matt Firor promised in his statement in January.
EDIT: I'm not asking for anything to be taken away from the PvE players, merely asking for something for PvP players as well. Is that unreasonable?Edited by hafgood on March 18, 2022 1:16PM1 -

✭✭✭✭Double AP has only ever come from PvP. No event for PvE has ever doubled AP. That could very well be because AP is strictly coded with PvP things and can't simply be turned on and off without other PvP-event related things also being active.
But again, this is a PvE event either way, and no PvE event has ever given double AP.PC-NA | Been around since closed beta

✭The point some of you are missing is that there is no reason why this event could not have double AP as well.
You seem to have been conditioned into thinking that we have to be grateful for whatever we are given.
As a paying customer I am far from grateful for what we are given. There is no reason why double AP could not be added into the event, there is no reason it has to be a PvE only event. Who says it has to be that way? Only Zos and those who cannot think outside the box.
I accept most events are classed as either PvE or PvP amd have no issue with that as they have tickets associated with them.
The Explorers Bribe has no tickets, it does not have to conform to PvE or PvP and could genuinely have been for all players, instead its been aimed at PvE activities, and I find that a real shame, by adding a PvP element to it, double AP, double TelVar Zos would have gained a lot more goodwill than it has by ignoring PvP and refusing to say why PvP has not had anything added for this bribe.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭Actually used this more than I thought I would. Needed to level some weapon lines on a few of my toons (mostly DW/2H on mag toons), thanks to the hybrid meta. Almost wondering if that isn't secretly why they did it because they knew people would be grinding skill lines.1
