More guild slots... 5 isn't enough.

    This - 500 Item slots for the Guild bank. Adding just one more guild slot would have exponential storage effects they are currently trying to reduce.

    Except to the best of my knowledge, making a guild is limited to 1/person (someone yell if I’m mistaken) and that isn’t the number being discussed, the issue is not being able to join existing guilds.

    I’d like five more slots. I don’t know if I would use them all, but I’d rather have a few extra in case something comes along than not.

    2 - PvP/Social
    3 - Trials
    4 - Trade
    5 - Cooperative - which is to say we swap recipes, furniture blueprints, extra siege, extra Companion equipment etc.

    I wouldn’t want to drop any of them but I could do with another trade guild or two.

    Nah 5 is more than enough. Any more would be arbitrary. Highly unlikely they ever add more anyway. Don't really need a guild for every little activity.

    YOU may not need more, and I certainly don't need more, but others might. To each his or her own.

    They don't NEED more, they just want more. Trust me they'll be able to live and function fine with the 5 we have now. I promise they won't melt.

    I can only keep track of one guild at a time and that's all I'll ever need, but I realize that others may have different needs than me. But I still believe that anything beyond 5 is excessive.

    I’ve tried to break my guild slots down to:

    1 Trading Guild
    1 Australian/NZ Guild (PvE/PvP Timezone-specific)
    1 LGBT+ Guild (PvE/PvP Timezone-agnostic)
    1 Roleplaying Guild
    1 Housing Guild
    1 - Housing
    2 - PvP/Social
    3 - Trials
    4 - Trade
    5 - Cooperative - which is to say we swap recipes, furniture blueprints, extra siege, extra Companion equipment etc.

    Maybe it's just me, but this seems... excessively specific?

    Which I suppose is a side effect of the fact people had 5 guild slots in the first place. If they'd only had one, guilds might have ended up like they do in other games, catering to multiple aspects.

    No, but I'm just remembering guilds in other MMOs I've played, which did progression raiding AND dungeons AND PvP.

    Like I said, it's likely a side-effect of this game letting people have 5 different guilds in the first place. If you only could do one, people would have been less willing/able/etc to make super-focused single-purpose guilds.

    The idea of having guilds be so compartmentalized seems very odd to me. /shrug

    I might not have use for more guild slots, but I can't see that it would hurt. I'm in my original first guild I ever joined (even though it's all but dead), my personal guild which is basically just storage, a casual social guild, a trading guild, and a guild I joined for trials. I don't consider any of those unnecessary. If I wanted to get into roleplay or PvP, I would either have to drop one or try to participate in events run by other guilds without being a member.

    I think eight guild slots could allow for more freedom and utility without being ridiculous. Then again, I would also like at least 25 character slots, so I might not be the best judge of what is not ridiculous.
    PC NA, CP2500+. Character creation is the true endgame.

    Or change the way 'guilds' are presented in the game.

    Instead of adding to the current system I think a rework with fresh coding would be better.

    - Groups for raids don't necessarly need 'guilds'
    - Trading groups need 'guilds'
    - Roleplayers/Event orientated groups need 'guilds'
    - PvP groups don't need 'guilds'

    Think about it..12 man raids, 12 man PvP groups...why do you need something with 500 slots?
    I think 'gameplay' orientated groups should or could have something completely different and it could save a lot of space/re-allocate room for other purposes which really need a guild.

    For example a system (let's call it) 'Banners' could suffice for gameplay groups.

    This is a good point. Not only would it mean more guilds being created but there is also an issue where people create personal guilds for storage. All of which adds to the server load which means Zenimax will not consider it at this time.

    One thing I have noticed, besides many guilds having weak leadership, players lack loyalty. Dividing that up between even more guilds makes such a player less worthwhile to any guild. My main guild kicks people that are not very active in the guild which is why it is such a good guild.
