Apologies if this has been asked and I missed it. I am simply wondering in which order I should load my characters to try and get any "cumulative achievements" on my "main" (not that that distinction holds much credence any more)... Main first, or main last?

Thanks in advance!!!

If you have several of them, it may be literally impossible.

You would have had to do some work before the patch to figure out how many each of your characters were going to contribute to the total and then make sure that you log onto your "main" to make it be the one that crosses the finish line.

That said, if you main has them completely done, they will get credit for it as the "first" to do it completely will override any later date.

But, again, if you have multiple "cumulative" that will be combined with this patch, it may be literally impossible to make sure they're all on your main.
The Unshattered - Tenacious Dreamer - Hurricane Herald - Godslayer - Dawnbringer - Gryphon Heart - Tick Tock Tormenter - Immortal Redeemer - Dro-m'Athra Destroyer
The Unchained - The Brilliant - Moth Trusted - The Just - Oathsworn - Bedlam's Disciple - Temporal Tempest - Curator's Champion - Fist of Tava - Invader's Bane - Land, Air, and Sea Supremacy - Zero Regrets - Battlespire's Best - Bastion Breaker - Ardent Bibliophile - Subterranean Smasher - Bane of Thorns - True Genius - In Defiance of Death - No Rest for the Wicked - Nature's Wrath - Undying Endurance - Relentless Raider - Depths Defier - Apex Predator - Pure Lunacy - Mountain God - Leave No Bone Unbroken - CoS/RoM/BF/FH Challenger

Hopefully someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I think you want to log in to your main first. But any character that earned the achievement first by date, will be the one credited in the "earned by" window once you log in with them.

So if you want achievements only on your main, you may not want to log in on your other toons at all if they have achievements.

Sheesh... Take a bit of a hiatus from the game and it all goes to hell in a hand basket. I hadn't planned on needing a historical account of my achievements...

    Thank you for your answer.

I'm going to go cry now about the death of my alts... And my main.

We should start a support group.

Get a whole smorgasbord of food/drinks/etc... and cry it out together.

I have a main I was working towards getting all the achievements on... I was only about 2 dozen short of all of them.

It didn't matter how I logged it. My main wasn't my first to clear vHoF or vMoL or any of the Craglorns. It wasn't first to learn lots of the early game motifs. It wasn't the first to complete the story quests. My main grew out of me playing the game and finding out what I loved to do and what I was good at. So my "earned by" are all over the place.

Heh, yeah. Seems we are many.

When AWA was being discussed way back when, I personally didn't agree with the notion but could see why some would want it. Sure, I get it.

My stance was moderate - some achievements yes, some no. Kill thousands of skeletons? Sure, share away. Godslayer on all toons? Why??? And even then, if you want to walk around with a level 3 toon with a title, by all means. My way of playing doesn't need to be imposed on others.

As an RPer, I am disheartened, to put it lightly, that my toons are no longer individuals with lives of their own. My uptight Sapiarch is going to be looked at strangely because of things my Bosmer assassin did. My vampire Duke who is a long-time friend of Verandis will be lumped in with my Nord werewolf who venerates Hircine, even though they hate each other.

I have my head canon. A story. My main walks through life meeting my alts, and each one contributes to my story of the game.

To lose this individuality feels like an enormous betrayal of characters that I have created and shaped, who have "life" outside of achievements.

I am all for making all types of players feel like they have a little part of Tamriel that is their own, but killing off my alts' individual existences... Frustrating doesn't begin to describe it.

I don't see how both points of view couldn't be integrated - titles and achievements over the account, but stories individual. It seems sloppy and rushed.

    Edited for spelling.
