improving from purple to gold on 100% succes chance? Ignore this - noob mistake

Today I first transmuted some pieces of my monster set and leeching set in the Hall of Refinement in Clockwork city. After that I took all of them to improve from purple to golden and had a 100% chance of succes. For example: for the heavy leeching set items with the forge I needed 8 tempered alloys for each item to have a 100% succes rate. My temper expertise was and is 3/3.
However, after improving I lost the items. All of them. The vanished from my inventory. This has never happened before with a temper expertise 3/3, 100% chance and 8 items. So, could some other players test this as well? I suspect this is a bug. *** edit *** see my own reply below

    Extra checks done. I was panicking that the 100% didn't hold. Seems it was my (noob) mistake. Items were in bank at the moment of improving and I was checking afterwards in mij inventory and didn't see them anymore because I didn't see what was in the bank. So, ignore message above. I wish I could erase my previous message ;-)
