Maintenance for the week of March 25:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – March 28, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EDT (16:00 UTC)
I have this house for a few years, but haven't managed to do anything notable with it, for me to like it, anyway. I am not saying it's not a great house, it is, but it is also much like the "vanilla" houses, that have a few big empty rooms which are problematic to light properly.
The courtyard is the best feature of the house, and the barn is useful either for a crafting workshop or for a separate housing project.
I did not find any use for the two towers. Unfortunately, there is no interior staircase (I would settle for just one tower but with a staircase) and something that turned me off was that you can't use the ramparts because of invisible walls. The back wall is also behind an invisible wall.
An other issue for me is the lack of "nibenese"/imperial furnishings, and I mean structural ones. I still hope that we'll get blueprints for structural elements for the older styles, including this one. There are many possibilities, of course, to build something else, and forget about the villa, but why spend a lot of crowns on a house in a style and build in a different one?
This is just my preference. I have seen awesome projects done in this house, but I tend to build in the style of the house.
My initial desire was to create a Mages Guild academy, using the guild in Anvil as reference.
The house is also quite far from a wayshrine, so this might be a small issue for some people. I keep fingers crossed for a wayshrine furnishing.

It is my second favorite home, Sweetwater being my favorite, and IMHO my best decorated. I really love the Sicilian country estate vibe. I went with a mostly Elsweyr furniture motif with some Redguard tossed in.
I purchased more shrubs and segmented the yard a bit better, building a pig pen by the barn, and a crafting "market" type area around the gazebo.
This is my second large house project. The outside is a wonderful space. Large and flexible without being so huge it just looks empty. The interior can be lit satisfactorily but I have reskinned the floor in the main entrance and will likely do so in other areas. The effect of the walls and floor in gloomy terracotta tones and the lightless 'windows' is not that inspiring.
So far I have olive nut and fruit tree groves, plus a formal garden and a glasshouse where I am growing tomatoes grapes and corn. I am working on wine-making, olive press, and there will be a flour windmill and a small animal pen later, and a small workshop and smithy. I was aiming at a Romano British villa. I'm doing a lot of style mixing in the interiors while I work out how to get the right feel.
I tend to be a plonk -er, not a planner when it comes to housing so I'll still be fiddling in 2023 at the current rate!
