Like being able to wear them with hats and hoods without...you know, being stuck with a hat or hood.
Would kill for that to be a thing.

✭✭✭Imo, if they're to add a new slot to equipment, it should be an all-purpose "Mythic" slot. Rather than having it be in a specific slot, it should just have its own side-slot as an extra. It would make it so everyone can (and should) use a mythic item, but also allows us to use any, and allows ZoS to design items that might not configure to the normal slots. A mask mythic item? They could make it if we had a mythic item slot. What about a backpack or cape? Or a single glove or boot? A peg leg even! There's a lot they could do, but can't reasonably do, with mythics due to the limitations of the armor slots in the game, and not everyone sacrifices their monster helm set just to have a mythic. It would just need to prioritize the style of the mythic item over your normal equipped item in its respective slot when it is shown (EG the kilt or the gaze of sithis). Obviously allowing you to still put your own cosmetic armor to cover it, and for the ones that don't completely change an armor piece, it could just have a toggle in the menu like hiding helmet has.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Balance is already more complicated that any mmorpg I have seen. Adding more gear slots just adds to it.
Also, the work to design something for that new slot for every motifs and style in the game would require a lot of work. I doubt Zenimax would be interested in such an undertaking.4 -

Lol, that would be something, allowing both races to have 15 gear slots for sets instead of the standard 14. Honestly, that would probably be more balanced than the current state of Khajiit and Argonian, at least for PVE.Edited by WrathOfInnos on March 7, 2022 2:51PM1 -

Bradyfjord✭✭✭✭✭I'd love for them to repurpose the costume slot that I never used except for a couple of quests. Hypothetically, they could add items that give a mask/cape/other cosmetic that could go over our current apparel. And if you want you could 'hide helmet' to get your mask only in that kind of situation. I've no idea if that is a realistic option, but I just like having cosmetic options.0 -

Only stuff that goes over the eyes like eyepatch or monocle unless you're talking about the Belly Dancer Veil

Yes....I can see those are masks.
This discussion was about having a mask slot to wear masks with DIFFERENT hats/hoods.
So kinda confused why you would bring that up. Same thing as the Hallowed Jack motifs.
Again talking about having masks with hat/hood combos not having masks in general.0
