I haven't ever used poisons but was just wondering if anyone plays a Magsorc and uses poisons?

    Only when using Azureblight set.

With Heartland Conqueror and Charged trait, Crushing Shock will apply 3 stacks of Azureblight every cast. Double DoT poisons adds another 2 stacks per second. This means you can reach 20 stacks of Azureblight in 4 seconds. You can get Blight Seed procs around the same time as Haunting Curse which explodes for decent burst damage.

There's other Mag Sorc builds with way more damage so I don't run Azureblight very often.

Yeah, and AFAIK only one player in a group can use Azureblight effectively.

Even with that build, Heartland Conquerer is not worth using. Just using a charged destruction staff gives a 74% chance to proc each status effect. Using a 5pc set to get another 26% and make that 100% is largely a waste of a set. Even if HC gave the full effect of the 2nd charged trait it would be questionable with its weak 2-4 piece bonuses.

Heartland Conqueror for the Powered/Defending backbar.

Not that it matters too much. Azureblight on Mag Sorc is kind of a meme build anyways

I use entrapping poison on backbar resto, because I don't have bar space to fit roots.

I front bar immobilize poisons in pvp. Really helps trip up opposing players.

I use poison or disease on my staffs, mainly for the reduction of healing effect. And apply potion poison for quests or dailies.

I'm a fan of escapist poison on resto backbar. Messes with enemy burst attempts and saves a lot of stam in the long run.
