I wish i could change my character hair and eye colors... It would be amazing because theres many skin options and outfit styles one can create

Would you love this in game? Paid or free/gold?

How would you like to see this implemented?

Naturally I would love it if it was free, but I also think it would be reasonable have it in the crown store to buy/unlock.. no more than 1000 crowns, though, like the hair and adornment packs were.

It would be nice if they sold us hair colours as one of those cosmetic packs for our collection. Like the hairstyle, body/face marking ones.

Yeah. That's why I personally think it should be free since it's only changing the one feature. It also gives them a chance to add a decent gold sink to the game. They could charge like 500k to change your hair color.

I am surprised there is not a package for each like the hairstyle package. It is revenue after all and sticks with the theme of what is already offered.

I'd like to see Crown Store packs for Hair and Eye colors, just like there are packs for the same Hairstyles and Face & Body Markings that are available on the Character Creation Screen.
And also, perhaps individual colors, like there are also individual hairstyles and face/body markings that are occasionally added, beyond those that we have available on the CCS.

Though, I also would not mind if they created an in-game method, with a vendor to whom you pay gold (or Seals of Endeavor?) to make all of these minor cosmetic changes.

Even WoW (for all it's many, many, many, many, many faults) allows you to do this for in-game gold. And yes, that is a purely sub-based game, but then I have never played ESO without being subbed so I consider ESO to be as sub-based game as well.

We already have a monetised version for a whole character 'makeover'.

Just dyeing one's hair should not IMO be a 'premium' option, should be available for in-game gold like dyeing outfits.

The eye colour IDK, I mean it would be nice have it, I just don't think on 'changing eye colour' as a viable, mundane even cosmetic procedure so I hadn't really given it any thought until it was raised on this thread.

It would be great if we could change the hair colours without having to buy a race change or whatever token. They are pricey and I dont mind buying them when I change my character drastic but just for a different haircolour is to expensive.

I do just want the colours we have I dont like crazy pink and green etc. colours.
Even if it is only a option for eso+ members.

I agree with this. I'd already like to see a new category for eye effects because at the moment they're scattered all over - some are face markings, some are apparently facial hair and I think some are adornments. I'd like to see them all put together in a dedicated category, and then eye colours could go into the same one.

Because ZOS are highly unlikely to do it for free. Players have been asking for this for years (basically since the game launched) and they haven't done it. Maybe if they know we'd be willing to pay for it they'd be more likely to do it.

But also if it was like the hair style, marking and adornment packs it would be a one-time cost to change it whenever you like. That might not be worth it if you just want to make a one-off change but if you're using it frequently it's a better deal.

In games where you have to pay gold or cash-shop currency each time you change your hair I almost never do it. In ESO I do it all the time. My characters tie their hair back and take jewellery off when going into a delve, they style their hair and get all dolled up for special occasions or meeting dignitaries, sometimes they get dressed up just to go into town.

      Absolutely.

I would love some oldschool Runescape-styled thing where you go to an actual in-game shop and can pay gold to buy hair changes anytime you want. Sometimes the vanilla styles are fine but you might get tired of what you picked, so why not visit some sort of "barber/hair salon" and pay some gold to swap your hair?

Make new styles a bit cheaper in the crown store and allow them to roll into the game as a changeable option instead of how it works now (because nothing annoys me more than putting on an in-game disguise for a quest and having my character's hair forcibly reverted to vanilla hair after I spent crowns on a hair style).

Also for new eyes, same concept, except they need their own menu. Not being able to use eyes on my Nord because it removes his beard is frankly a really dumb oversight and should be fixed asap.

      Define ''free''.
Does free mean just given to every player without needing to do anything or does free mean purchasable with gold?

I inferred 'free' meant 'purchased with in-game gold' as opposed to 'with hard earned cash' but now that you mention it, is not completely clear...

The game should have a barber shop/character customiser, for free, in every major hub, full stop. Having to pay exorbitant amounts of real money to alter characters in a subscribed mmo is terrible customer service.

In 2022 there's absolutely no reason they can't just give you a full-spectrum color slider and let you pick EXACTLY what hair and eye color you want at character creation. ZoS already monetizes the ever-loving crap out of any new addition to the game, I don't think they need more ideas.

Frankly, I don't get why people are asking for a paid cosmetic feature. The amount of pay to get cosmetics in this game and the lack of it as lootable items is staggering. Not even mentioning the prices, which I think are ridiculous.
I can understand that these items have to be paid for, without a monthly sub. But those who do sub should get them for free by either as a reward or free purchase from the store.

I really don't get how people feel good about this. In fact, this business model got me to stop playing the game as soon as my sub ran out. If there was anything nice to grind for, I'd be fine with paying a sub and log in to grind for it. But with this business model, there is nothing for players like me, an old skool MMORPG player.
Pretty sad, because I do like many features of this game, but their business model totally ruins the experience for me personally.

But then it's restricted to the character creator and you'd have to either delete and re-make the character or pay for an appearence change token in the crown store every time you want to change it. If it was a style pack like the hair styles, adornments etc. you'd pay once (and could use gold via gifting) and then you can use them as many times as you like for free.

To me paying a monthly subscription and hoping ZOS chooses to use the money to add things you want and and are happy for your money to go towards sounds like a more unreliable and likely more expensive way of doing things.

I find it much more straight-forward (and often cheaper) to not subscribe and instead buy things from the crown store (using real money to get crowns) if I want them. That way I know exactly what I'm getting and what it costs, instead of hoping the arbitary amount I've paid in advance balances out with what I get from it. For me it's often cheaper too (especially since they reduced 2 releases a year down to a pair of dungeons so I'm only buying 1 chapter and 1 DLC).

Of course I'd like everything to always be free, but I'm old enough to understand that's not how the world works and the people at ZOS need to be paid for their work. But I want to know what I'm paying for and how much it costs when choosing whether to buy it.
