Hi team, not sure if this is the correct place for this discussion. Anyone know of a way to take inventory on all of your character’s collectibles in a neat excel or document sheet?

i dont know if an addon can say export its data, but there are some good ones for tracking collections
    • itemization browser: adds menu you can pull up with all available sets which also tracks your gear collection progress per set (this addon is also great for theory crafters to just look at and research sets)
    • character knowledge: adds a menu to track your characters knowledge in motifs, furnishings, recipes
    • event collectibles: adds a menu to track your accounts progress collecting anything from events (outfit pages, runeboxes, etc)
    • unknown tracker: addon allows marking of collectibles (runeboxes, motifs, recipes, furnishing blueprints, outfit pages, etc) that you dont know (on an account level for collectibles, or on your "learner" character for motifs, recipes, furnishing blueprints)
    • master recipe list: another good tracker addon for furnishing blueprints and recipes

these are ones that i would recommend to help track that stuff in game, although none of them to my knowledge can perform any kind of "export" like a csv file that you could open in excel

No addon is able to export anything to excel, only SavedVariables lua tables are able to be written.
So you need to drop the data in there, like these addons probably do already as you only got access to the currently logged in character data so the other characters's data needs to be stored in the SV files, and read it from the lua files -> put the data into an excel then.

As each addon is creating it's own SV file and the contents look like the addon needs it, and not like any excel document would need it (including names, which SV most probabyl does not store as they are localization dependent and IDs are not -> so SVs often use IDs to keep the SV small and functional) you'd most probably need some exra addon which dumps all the data into a string with a separator (e.g. | or ;) like "collectibleId|collectibleName|collectibleCategoryId|collectibleCategoryName|..." so you can copy&paste it to excel and use excel's "Split at delimitier" functionality to get it into colums.

Well you can track them at least on a webpage.

    https://eso-database.com/en/charakter/padomay/18005570/sammlung/

Not sure how he is extracting them, but new ones show up immediately, even before they are available ingame, so i dont think its done manually over all those years.

This AddOn exports character and guild related data for the ESO-Database.com website. The data is written to the SavedVariables file after each logout or /reloadui. For uploading you can either use the automatic variant with the ESO-Database.com Client or the manual variant, where you have to upload the data yourself on the website.

As exaplained above. Collect ingame -> save to savedvars -> reloadui to update the files on the disk -> use external tool like TTC/ESO database client to upload data to website, or to load it into excel compatible format/load it directly with excel
