I envy you people and your gap closers. Mine are all bugged and can't use them so sorcs are insta-lose for me.

Stun exists because they want each class to have an unblockable crowd control ability in it's kit, hence why streak stuns. Templars are the only class lacking that currently but they plan to change it in update 33 so every class has an unblockable CC

They have just enough time to get a heal or two in, without streak it'd be a lot easier to kill them which wouldn't be fair.

They've actually done a decent job of making these all unique:
NB is an AOE that works in close range, or a trap that assists with escape. Each of which synergizes with the melee based toolkit.
Necro is a ground based area of effect, that ties in with corpse control and area control of the toolkit.
DK is a single target, melee range, that locks down single opponents to get dumped on.
Warden is AOE and tied to healing, keeping them in the mix of things and stunning nearby opponents.
Templar will have the ranged single target that also knocks down.
Sorc has the AOE stun tied to their mobility. Defensively, it helps keep them at range, offensively, it forces them into melee range to be effective. Forcing a sorc to either sacrifice range for an offensive stun, or give an opponent CC immunity to gain distance from them.
None of this even takes into account that every class has access to an instant, aoe, unblockable undodgeble stun in the fighters guild Turn Undead. A skill that provides Minor Protection, Minor Endurance and weapon/spell damage increase for slotting.
No problem with the stun on it. Gives class identity like cloak on NB. Sounds like a learn to play issue, you should expect it when fighting a sorc.
To capitalize on the movement it grants you. Otherwise there would be no delay from when you streaked to when the enemy has already come in with a gap closer. It's balanced.... In it's own unique and strange way.

I guarantee you that sorcs have the same issues with streak. I can't tell you how many times I hit streak 2-3 times and just stand dead still, and when streak finally does fire off, the 2-3 seconds worth of projectiles insta kill me when I hit may target location.

Funnily enough templars had unblockable stun in the past on shards.
Unblockable stuns were just another way to remove counterplay/dumb down the PvP in this game.
Streak should stun but it should not be unblockable. This goes for a lot of stuns though. I’m not really a fan of the direction this game has gone in terms of game balance since Morrowind.

It combines 3 utility abilities in one!
Stun, Charge and "escape"(defensive) ability.
Maybe it needs to be this way because pets take up such a big part of the ability bar, who knows how the Devs think.

Far from the strongest ability, unlike the many abilities and sets that can't be, it is amazingly easy to negate. Not to mention, most sorcs would rather not "gap close", being as they can be quite squishy and die to melee attacks rather quickly and easily.

Remove counterplay? They are literally direct counterplay to permablocking tanks. Without unblockable stuns they'd be unkillable.

It's not dodgable and it has nothing to do with lag. It is simply undodgable, unblockable stun by design. Basically every AoE stun is undodgable. AoE abilities are undodgable by design.

Streak specifically has been made to be dodgeable, thanks to a lot of complaints. It quite literally says here: https://eso-skillbook.com/skill/streak and in-game. I’ve had plenty of people dodge my streaks. Maybe your dodge roll didn’t go through or register, which happens a lot.
