Hello DW Nightblades! You’re probably like me during this event

…trying to PvP as a PvEer. So, I kinda learned this as a PvE’r during this Mayhem Event. I’m a stealthy type, so this may help those similar to me. First, the chances of you striking your first strike from stealth’s Veiled Strike is probably not going to happen. Sounds great, but it’s rare. Only the best do it from that way and I takes incredible patience, which usually is not worth the effort in the heat of the moment. I have found, like many, that DW < 2H.

You use it to get yourself in position to strike from the shadows. But not as you may think. The leap ability is actually your way in. They won’t expect you; it surprises them, and it will shake them enough for your group members to take advantage of it.

You’re the trump card. So, you WILL strike from stealth, but not like close and personal all “Blade of Woe”-like. You survey the field, you see who is weak, and then you will strike.

I suggest front bar offensive for Critical Strike (your leap) and Uppercut with Dizzying Swing for that knockdown. Keep Resolving Vigor and Spike Bone shield on backbar for getaways. Keep Shadowy Disguise on both bars in case you get confused—it will happen.

If this seems like a no-brainer, please ignore this post. I try to be a half cognizant person most of the time, but sometimes I fail.

Dw + 2h backbar is how I play my 1 shot gank stamblade. Crushing weapon, auto attack animation cancel surprise attack, auto attack animation cancel whirling blades tap block animation cancel. + 2 gear procs, 7k wd.

Most 1 shot stamblades do the same.

Your suggestions are not the best, sorry.

I've been playing my DW/resto magblade during MYM and loving it. My playstyle is way different from yours though (hybrid DPS/heal, no cloak).

And everyone else keep magelight on your rotation and Essence of Detection potions running while encountering zergs.

I have been playing for 4+ years and I have never even TRIED a character with Cloak (always go heal morph). Bow back bar. Front bar Hidden Dagger then Lotus to gap close. Fear or whatever the other debuff close quarters skill is. Flurry. Execute.

I don't know, I "win" quite a few BGs. Usually, not if there is a team against me. Teams always win. This post is not inflammatory. Just giving some DW NB's a nod.

If you're primarily a PvEer, your MMR could be very low. I know that my performance in BGs tends to get a lot worse as I play a character more (going from totally dominant to barely getting by, at which point I have to completely rework my build).

    eh

    Match Making Rank.

It's a hidden score PvP games use to group you with players of similar skill levels. You'll never know what you are but as he said, the better you get the harder your matches will become as the game starts placing you against better players and starts expecting you to carry weaker team mates.
