Imperial Edition / Race Sale?

I have been waiting a couple of months for this event - so I can purchase the Imperial Edition - and get the Imperial Race on sale… but it is still the normal price 2100C.
Does anyone know if it has been on sale before - or if it goes on sale in the second week of the event, perhaps? Or is there another method for getting Imperial Race?
Want to make my 3rd tank - but it feels a bit cheesy if there is no sale, like there always is for any other event-specific content.
