So I would like to change my sub from the 3 month to the yearly. Through Playstation it appears all im able to do is cancel the reacuring sub and once that is up I can re-sub to the full year.

What im wondering then i guess is this the only way? If so, I just want to make sure i dont lose anything on my account from the eso plus running out, even if its just for a few mins while i re-sub.

Things like transmute crystal capacity...concerned I may lose some if im maxed at 1000....my craft bag....all that comes back soon as i re-sub I assume?

Any explaination or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

I think to let it run out is the only option...but

you don't loose your items when eso+ runs out, you are just not able to use the craftbag anymore and so the items, mats you pick up are stored in your regular inventory,

my eso plus was running out several times and I didn't notice any issues, apart from a full inventory within a few minutes ;)

    To clarify;

You will still have your craft bag, and everything in it, you just won't be able to put anything new in it until you renew your subscription.
    You won't loose anything.

I'm pretty sure the only way to change it is to cancel it and then resubscribe.

You won't lose anything when you do that, you'll still get all the time you paid for. (I only subscribe occasionally so my normal approach is to pay for it, check it's working and then cancel it right away and I've always gotten the full time.)

I think as soon as you've cancelled it you'll have the option to subscribe again and choose a different payment plan which will then start when your current time runs out, but I'm not completely sure on the specifics there.

If you let the subscription run out completely before renewing it you also won't lose anything, you just won't be able to keep using the benefits. So for example materials in the craft bag and transmute crystals in the wallet will both stay there but new materials you pick up will go into your inventory and if you're over the limit for transmute crystals you won't be able to open the geodes. If any characters are in DLC areas you don't own they'll be moved to a base game map, but will keep their progress on quests, exploration etc.

To add what others have said, you won't lose anything - it just becomes static and unable to add additional things until your subscription is back up. ESO+ also gives you double bank space and double furnishing slots in houses, so by that same token for the length of time your sub is inactive, things stay in your houses and bank - it's just you cannot add more items, and if you remove an item from the bank, you won't be able to put it back in and if you move a furnishing item in a house, you won't be able to re-place it, until your sub is active again.

Don't worry about it. Nothing will be lost. Happens to a lot of us when we forget to have enough moola in the wallet and need to resub.

    Yep. That's how it works.
If you cancel a currently-active plan, you can re-subscribe right then, but the new plan doesn't go into effect until the time on your current plan runs out. And if you do it that way, there isn't a lapse in ESO+ benefits.

And like others have said, if there is a gap between the old plan ending and a new one beginning (e.g., you were to wait until the current plan expires before re-subscribing), you don't lose anything from your craft bag. You simply won't be able to add anything to it until the new plan is in effect; any mats you pick up while in between plans will go to your inventory (if you have open space; otherwise you won't be able to pick it up).

You must wait until the current subscription lapses. If you cancel, you still have to wait until the existing one ends.

Once it ends, you can renew with the yearly option.

In game items are bound to the account, not the subscription, so you won't lose anything. The exception is if you delete a character carrying the items you forgot to transfer. Once a character is deleted, it's permanent.

Fun fact: when I rage quit this game, I deleted all my characters and gave away all my stuff.

When I came back and leveled my Bosmer, when I hit 50, she gained all the CP my previous account had.

I had always thought CP was bound by the character who had the most, but nope... also account bound.

In one regard, I was happy about it.

In another... yeah, doesn't bode well to have a 1200+ CP character who can't craft anything on their own.

      *sigh*

I believe if you switched to a yearly right now, it won't bill you until the current sub runs its course.

You can buy the yearly anytime. I will just add the 12 months on top of what you’ve got

You will be charged up front as you get the crowns instantly.

Have you tried to just buy the year?

Under your subscriptions for ps it also tells you your next payment date.

It bills you right away and *** up your license or ability to turn off auto-pay. I don't recommend people take this route.

Is that what happens on the PS Network? (which I understand was the platform in question in the OP).

For PC, you don't get billed for the new subscription until your current one expires, which I personally find to be a PITA, especially if there are multiple months remaining on the current sub, because I'll forget about the new sub, and the looming charge waiting to drop, which then hits me by surprise. I'd rather get charged right away.

Yup. I too would prefer being charged right away and like that element of it. That's why I purchased multiple subs in the first place, I had a tiny windfall and had decided to drop some of it on eso+ so that I didn't have to care about that sub bill or it running it out for a while.

And then I went to turn off auto renew and couldn't. Not happy that still is not fixed. Last time this happened it fixed itself at the last sub pack e.g I bought two 6 months subs wayyyyy back when they didn't have the yearly. The sub didn't let me turn off auto-renew until the last of the 6 month subs had begun. I'm paid up until 2023 so in a couple of months the 2022-2023 (last sub I bought) period will begin, and it should finally fix itself. If not I'll have to submit a ticket and argue about a product that I bought in 2021.

        Fun stuff. /s

I'll take this over having to wait to be charged though. It's makes preventing surprise charges easier.
