Gap closers broken in PvP- Can we please get some acknowledgement of this?

I just went 3 bgs in a row without being able to use dragon leap or empowering chain. Like others have said, you can look at the tooltip and the range of the skills isn't even in the tooltip when it's bugged. This is getting really frustrating. I'd really like for someone at Zos to acknowledge this issue. For whatever reason the problem is as bad now as it's ever been.

    Again, today. Can't use leap in bgs. I'm sure I'm just pissing in the wind here but maybe, one day, y'all will acknowledge this.

    Same here. Crit Rush not working in over 50% of my BGs.

    Ambush too.

    Would like to main a DK this patch cause of the buffs but alas, after a few matches that I can't use leap it's back to being a mule (and it's worse on Eld Angavar map cause you can't swap it at the base cause of the in-combat bug)

    Both Dragon Leap and Empowering Chain weren't working for me in 2 games in Eld Angavar on different days. That battleground seems bugged for me.

    It's been broken for at least two years, just search the endless threads in the past about it

    Ferocious Leap has been bugged in every one of the last 11 BG matchs. Every single match. Once zoned out to PVE it works, back to BG and it is bugged. Range does not show.

    As you may already know this issue is around for a very long time now (years, with being dominant again for at least + 6 months) and there are already many threads about this. As far as i know there never has been an acknowledgement of this.

    Havent had this in bgs for a while but dk leap and 2handed leap skill does not work 70% of the time in imperial city and it wouldnt be crazy to assume its the same for all gap closers. Same thing with the tooltip not listing range.

    Also this is not even on pts its on live servers.

    Game breaking bug that has prevented use of an entire class in BGs for 9 months now, and still no acknowledgement that this bug is being worked on. I really want to be able to play my DK again :'(

    Even Volendrung in Cheesemonger’s Hollow inside Cyrodiil has this bug.

    At first I could use the gap closer skill, but then it was greyed out the rest of the time.

    Leap especially is such an important dk finisher and it's disabled most of the time in pvp. Upsetting.

    I used shielded assault last night, got stuck jogging in place, but was also invincible while it all happened. I was doing the running man and trolling blues at Bruma.
    If I found a comparison to another skill, it's Undo Psijiic ultimate. When you use undo (by accident or out of desperation) and you get stuck in a time loop, you are also invulnerable to damage. The time it takes for the server to figure out what happened and make you vulnerable again seems to be about the same amount of time as the gap closer bug.
    You would assume time travel has inherent risks, but Kung-Fu Movie wire floating to your opponent should not be messing with space-time continuum.

    In Space Ball terms, any gap closers that were only ridiculous speed have now bypassed ludicrous speed and gone to plaid.

    I recently leveled up my dragon knight for PVP. Since I started doing BGs I have never been able to use any of the following abilities:
    -Fiery Grip and both of its morphs
    -Dragon leap and both of its morphs
    -Shield charge and both of its morphs

    I love being perpetually kited and then teabagged when I'm killed. It's not upsetting at all :D

    Just took my DK to a BG and just stood there dying trying to figure out why none of my gap closers were working - stampede and leap.

    This looks like the most recent thread, but really, how has this been broken for years?

    PVP event, fantastic. You queue for a battleground or jump into Imperial City to get in on the fun. EZPZ, no problems. you've got skills to avoid the griefers and try to carve your way to victory in the pits.

    EXCEPT LOL NO YOU DON'T.

    This Intended Feature™ has plagued PVP areas for years now. I believe it's tied to the "Truce" buff that prevents you from attacking or being attacked when in a safe zone (such as doors and ladders in IC, or the spawn point in battlegrounds before the match begins), which is fine and dandy and all, but after the buff wears off, or once the battleground begins, suddenly you're still unable to attack with gap-closers such as 2-handed Critical Rush (and morphs), 1H/Shield's Shield Charge (and morphs), DragonKnight's Dragon Leap (and morphs), and so on.

    Normally I would use the bug report feature in the game to report this a few dozen more times (because it happens that often) but since those don't get listened to, and since it's been a while since I've posted this grievance on the forums, I figured I would just post this friendly reminder that it's still an ongoing issue. and with stamDK being as mediocre as it is already, those gap-closers are critical.

    Any word on this?

    Yeah my Take Flight still isn't working on my EP DK....really sucks cuz it seems to work for other alliance dk players...

    Also all my targetable CC doesn't work on my DK in Imperial City...wonderful. Still seems to work for all my enemies though...

    Was just coming here to post about this. DK skill Invasion not working 99% of the time in Imperial City. Unrelenting Grip not working 50% of the time. Petrify Not working. All three skills greyed out. Not to mention the performance dropping when in large group combat. For instance 30+ AD, 20+ EP and 10+ AD in same battle causes lag.

    Please fix this.

    ZOS has defnitely had a hate [snip] against stamDKs for a long time, although apparently it's ANY gap closer, including the crossbow one from Fighter's Guild, as well as the one from the templar spear line, as well as any skills that pull enemies towards you.

    in Imperial City the workaround is to change zones (districts) although that's still a very inconvenient hassle. in the sewers, you basically just gotta pray.

    and of course, in battlegrounds, you're just screwed. Nothing you can do at that point except switch builds and classes.

    My guess is it gets fixed once they're done rewriting the game at the end of the year. Since they said it would take the whole year I expect it to take 2 or 3 if they really do it at all. And I don't expect you to get any answer from ZOS at all as that is the case on 99% of forums posts. But who knows, maybe they'll shock everyone with an actual answer if this is actually read by any ZOS employee.

    given that the problem has existed since at least 2019 and been completely ignored since then, it'll probably take them 3-4 years to acknowledge it and then twice that long to apply a fix if they even decide it's worth fixing.

    People have a choice to leave the game and not contribute to it any longer financially. I suppose unless many do that things won't get better. Decisions are made by money counters and they obviously are not deciding to spend enough of the proceeds from the game actually supporting it. The only exception is pumping out new content to generate revenue in the form of more crown store items and DLC of course. I feel bad for the employees who actually care about the game and would like to fix things. They're obviously being held back by upper management. PVP is so bad you can't even play it during their event now. I don't understand their decisions.

    I had no idea this had been going on for years I thought this was a new bug (I just restarted playing on a new PC). That breaks the last straw I think I gotta quit this game again. That's absolutely crazy.

    Another workaround for avoiding the bug in the imperial city is to make sure that when you leave the hatchway you get off the platforms ASAP. Once the effect of sanctuary wears off (the blue glowing aura around you) you've only got a few seconds to get off the platform or the platform debuff (which removes the range from your gap closers and pulls) will remain when you hit the ground.
