Just curious, do people use PVP or PVE build in IC if the primary purpose is farming bosses/ Tel Var? or hybrid?

I usually go with my PvE solo build but I slot a gap closer to help a bit in case I get jumped.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

This one since I'm probably going to be alone and by myself. MagDK with invisibility is a terrifying thought, especially when it lets them get away from fights with enough line of sighting or ambush someone quickly and out of the blue. This build has let me fight and kill Banners, Bosses, and other players.

5 pieces light, 2 heavy, all divines.
    My standard mag PVE setups.

Heavy/impenetrable is standard in PVP meanwhile, for stamina based players. This means their damage is not as high as it could be, so if you can stay in some distance they are pretty helpless in launching their executes on you. The other skills they have don't do that much damage.
    Key is to keep distance.

I had tried heavy armor too, even sets like beekeeper that increase your health, but had no advantage. IF they get close, they will kill you anyway as long as your *whole* setup is not optimized, this includes Mundus stone and CP. Just switching armor still will leave you too vulnerable for low distance fights.

I've been running the same setup on my main for the past two years for absolutely no reason aside from being too lazy to change it and it works pretty well.

    5 Light, 1 Medium, 1 Heavy. All 7 Divines - Lover Mundus.
Light of Cyrodiil, Mother's Sorrow, Iceheart

Lightning Staff Front Bar, Restoration Staff Back Bar

Living Dark - Solar Barrage/Toppling Charge - Puncturing Sweeps - Structured Entropy/Elemental Drain - Inner Light - Crescent Sweep
Honor the Dead - Regen HoT - Extended Ritual - Race Against Time - Templar Magicka Rune - Support Ult

Sure I shred like paper, but for the once a week I might run into IC or queue for BGs nowadays I really don't care.

I usually just take my PvE builds in, with the understanding that I likely won't survive a PvP encounter.

Going in with PvE build, with one AoE replaced by Streak. I'm not there to fight players (lack ability to do so no matter what build and gear I've got), just to get tickets and possibly kill bosses for stylepages. If targeted by players would streak away around buildings - most PvPers give up after third or fourth corner and go murder something easier to catch.
