Account Wide Titles?

It wouldn't make much sense to have my level 4 toon running around with flawless conqueror...But it would be cool if we could have custom titles, such as "muffin man," "green-eared spaghetti monster," "King of the potato people," and "Breaker of Wind." We could choose our own!

The only achievements/Titles I want account wide are the Murkmire Prepper quests and the base game rare enemie blue drops. Chattering Skull and such.

Or maybe of the other big ones like "Tamriel Hero"
Daedric lord slayer used to be impressive, but now whenever you see a cp lvl 20-300 rocking it, you know theyve just ran endless dolmens in alik'r, I got mine back in vet levels, when it was a little harder to get.

Aren't "Count, And the other house ones account wide"?

If a player wants a certain title on a character they should go get that title ON that character. The same applies to skyshards, lorebooks and IMO should also apply to CP.

I mean, it would be cool to have "Alpha Predator" or "Thane of Falkreath" next to the name of my main PVP toon, but no. my tank earned those.

Account Wide Titles is actually a poor business decision, particularly as it relates to end-game PVE (which is currently your most loyal, most influential player base). You are removing one of the most prominent incentives for end-game PvE replayability - an incentive not to be casually overlooked, which has little to nothing to do with immersion. A new player seeking an end-game achievement is going to be very pleased with an end-game title on any toon. Does it involve more coding to separate Achievements from Titles? Yes, but it is worth it for the long-term health of the game - the pros significantly outweigh the cons across the entire player base.
It's a bell you cannot easily un-ring and should be thought through.

I did a search for "Titles" and "Account Wide Titles" and I didn't see anything recent, which I thought a little odd. I also felt the distinction between Account Wide Achievements and Account Wide Titles was worth a comment for the health of the game. Yes. Titles are cosmetics, just like other unlocks, such as skins, personalities etc.
Achievements have actual gameplay value (xp, skill line advancement, reference), so those I'd rather keep separate, but I don't really mind.

As said in another thread, for me, it depends on the related activities. In short, very simplified, my thinking is that activities contributing to a char progression (leveling up, CPs) should remain soul bound, whereas activities that we do - in most cases - once only, because there is no big point to repeat it (ex: leveling up crafting disciplines), should be account bound.
It's of course not such easy black and white differentiation for everything, but well, it explains how I would imagine the concept.

On the contrary, it's good to see that having account wide titles was disliked by the majority of players 2 years ago, and the points made in this thread still stand today.

Account wide achievements are good, titles are not.
